You showered before 24 hours of getting ur eyelash tint so it’s most likely that the tint got into your eyeball and skin which is causing such a reaction

I’m pretty sure you’re not allowed to wet your lashes after getting this treatment done for at least 24 hrs because the perm they use needs to set in properly. This is why you might have had a reaction is because you didn’t let the perm and tint set in and wet your lashes (rubbed your eyes probably too) making the perm and tint get everywhere in your eyes

Sometimes during perms if you react it’s most likely the tint but it can be the glue that is used to stick them up as a lot of clients say it feels hot when it goes on. It’s most likely that during the wiping at the end tint can sometimes get in your eye or the fumes set it off but I would say it’s definitely a reaction to the glue or tint x

Lash and Brow tech here 🙋🏻‍♀️ by the looks of things, you could be allergic to PPD which is present in most dyes, lash tints, brow tints and unbelievably, tattoos. The reaction could happen at anytime when your hormones shift (period, pregnancy, contraceptive pill). The only thing I could suggest is finding out if they use PPD in their tints (I believe you can get PPD free ones now).

With lvl you have a patch test for everything (or at least your suppose to) tint, perm solution, neutraliser and the glue that she’s sticks the lashes to the rod with, same with brow lamination! It may not just be the dye have a patch test for everything! I work at a hair and beauty salon and we even patch test for strip lash glue! You can never be too careful

Girl just get some antihistamine pills at the drug store, you dont even need a prescription, and you can just take them any time anything like that happens and it will help alot!

I've had this happen to me before and when your eyelids get flakey and crusty just apply a thin layer of vaseline and leave it on for about 5 minutes then repeat until its off xx hope it helps for any future incidents ( :

You’ll be allergic to the stuff they lift it with! I’ve had my eyebrows laminated and they said they use the same “glue” as they would with a lash lift. What’s why the patch test for the tint was fine x

They use the same ingredients in a lash lift as they do in brow lamination 🙆🏽‍♀️ make sure you take anti-inflammatory tablets such as hay-fever tablets to help the swelling 😩 i am allergic to lash extension glue and i was so gutted when my eyes swell up like this afterwards

patch tests: should start on wrist because it is not as delicate as face, if no reaction, move to a small area on your face or neck. absence of a reaction doesn’t mean you won’t react, that’s still a possibility. only thing definitive is if you react to the patch test you will react to the treatment.

Anti-hestimen piriton, etc normally used for allergic reactions, ive used it recently as i was allergic too a purfume, but tbh if it happens again you need go to your dr your eyes are the most precious thing you have. ❤️ Hope it actually calmed for you, or try icepop still sealed in a tissue gently lay it over to take the sting away or anything cool or cold or cold teabag used.,or cucumber x

Cooling gel eye masks, keep it in the fridge or freezer and sleep with that on, it will take the burning sensation away as well as keep swelling down

I'm qualified to do lash lifts and she should have told you not to get them wet or be around steam and it might just be the peroxide in the tint which is always used with tint to actually make it change colour

When I had a lash lift my eyes were a bit swollen the next day, I’ve had lash extensions for a month now and I’ve had zero reaction. I think you’d love lash extensions and I highly doubt you’ll have a reaction to it. Literally all they do is use the under eye thing and then put the lashes on with glue, you don’t need a tint unless you ask. It’s pretty relaxing

I have the same allergy and I have had worse reactions. It is from the eyebrow tint, it is a chemical in the tint that is called p-Phenylenediamine. It can be found in all dark hair dyes, tints, and even eyelash tints. You should definitely see a doctor because it gets so much worse. Take care xxxxx

Swelling is an allergic reaction which is fine and you’ve had that before, it will go away. The redness of your eyes which you’re panicking about is probably from the pad she put under your eye. Everytime I get lash extensions, my eyes react to the sticky stuff on the bottom of the pad and under my bottom lid my eyes are bloodshot and suuuper red. Don’t panic, and if you feel it’s getting worse go to a walk in centre and get them to take a look x

The products of brow lamination and lash lift and tint are very similar. With the product the lady used you are not to get them wet for a least 24 hours after the treatment. Also when the tint is on it shouldn’t sting unless it has gone into your eye (happens a lot when the clients eyes water) . I would of expected the patch test to have some effects xx

Always go to your beauty therapist if you have a reaction! they can point you in the right direction. I'm a beauty therapist, and have seen this many times on other peoples clients. Under your eyeball it looks like bruising/irritation from the eyepad and products used- that should go down in a couple of days - its nothing to worry about. Take some allergy tablets, and put a cold compress on your eyes to reduce the swelling. if this doesn't go down, go to the doctors and seek further medical help :)

Tbh I don’t understand why British girls are so worry about if they look tanned, big eyelashes or lipstick or whatever they tryna look better I guess?, personality I would say that British girls are gorgeous, maybe a little bit make up and the girls stuff U know They’d look great but they suffer for the simple fact to looks attractive if they are already! I had a bad allergic reaction around my eye area (in the actual eye as well) my eye doctor told me to put hydrocortisone cream on the skin around my eye and my eye lids to reduce the itching and swelling. I was also prescribed a steroid drop for my eyes. I’m sure you will be fine since you don’t notice any pain, stinging, or loss of sight.
