A small tip for collecting gems and stones. Scientist career from Get to Work is the best for that, because around a laboratory (lot you get sent to when you join your sim when they go to work) spawns literally DOZENS of the rock things to mine and they respawn constantly
Exactly! I actually restarted the Not So Berry Challenge 2 days before the pack was to come out so I can have my Mint Gen Sim cut gems, and experiment a bit with the pack!
i have a mod where a spellcaster's familiar gives potion ingredients (which include crystals and metals) all the time XD having a scientist spellcaster would make this a breeze lol
If you click on "work late", your sim can spend the day doing their Scientist chores, then after their normal work time they can dig for gems. Also when they get a promotion in that career, you are given the option to "go home" which should mean your sim can stay and collect more things then, or work on the equipment to gain more skill.
Stanley should try running a bakery!! I feel like that feature from Get To Work often gets ignored, but there’s a whole baking skill and all those like bakery fridges to lay things out in.
So proud of Stanley, his legacy is cemented into the Sims 4 forever. You deserve it, you excellent hot dog. Also, getting plumbite as the first crystal was so lucky omg.
Everytime Stanley is about to get a nice house Kayla ends the video. He never get to enjoy the house when he’s the one that make all the money by himself 😂😂
Kind of off topic but when I need money I just plant some flowers and sell them. With the right combinations you can get really expensive fruits. Now I have a garden that gives me 100k daily just by selling the fruits and flowers
I assume that you can rotate charged jems around from the charging and working. Maybe you should have one need cheating gemstone charging and the other working so you never have to work in them It's broken 😂
Simsie getting annoyed at phone calls made me think... why isn't there an option to turn off your phone notifications? Or block calls/messages from certain people? I mean.... like real life phones? Unless that's already a thing and I'm oblivious
I'm so proud of you and Stanley! ❤ He deserves to be in the Sims lore. I never buy new packs and always wait for sales, but this time I couldn't resist. I love jewellery making and I wished for something like this in The Sims for years! So... I bought it while watching this video. 🙈
Do you have Playlist of all the videos of your Get Rich Quick challenges? I’ve been lilsimsie-marathoning all of those lately but I’ve had to scroll from the beginning and round been on RU-vid so long it only goes 3 years in the front end and back end these are really really good ❤
Hey Kayla, I did a trial run with the sims can not die crystal and for some reason when a sim puts on the Jewelry sometimes, it for some reason will say "drained" as if it weren't charged, removing it and putting it back on seems to fix it. But when I tried it with the cowplants, it didn't work even fixing the "drained" bug and my sim died anyway, So I tried using a cut-gem instead and put it next to the cowplant, I tried it multiple times and every time my sim lived! so it seems wearing the jewelry doesn't work but the cut-gems do, which makes no sense lol
Seeing how Kayla uploaded back to back two videos with a get rich testing and a build, I wonder if that's be fun to try building pack-related houses with money ONLY made by Stanley during a pack-related money challenge 😂
I just started using this pack and I'm glad i watched this. I was using it as a rags to riches playthrough and have yet to fully explore all the features. Now that i know how crytal charges work, my sim would be unkillable
I’m actually gonna go ahead and buy this pack tonight I’m really excited about it! I’m going to use it for my decades challenge and have my heir become an eccentric jewelry maker to really upgrade my house for my legacy
Stanley is an absolute legend, he managed to get a crafting table named after him by the developers.😆 Hmm, I would have found it more fun if we had to search mostly for crystals in the world, in order to have some to make jewellery, and they only rarely appear on your own property and inventory
For me, this game feature is not for "Normies", it's for Spellcasters. To me, this is a magic expansion lite, which means Stanley is a witch with a dormant magical gene in my gameplay now.
Could you imagine the 100 baby challenge with this table omg i think infants would have no match, especially with that gem that fills all the needs... i havent played 100 baby since that update but i think this pack would soooo help!
I am SO excited for this pack! As someone who is a practicing pagan with a penchant for gems and stones, this is my dream pack- I'm interested to see how each stone and crystal in the pack relates to its magickal correspondence .

The more I see of this pack the more I want it. It’s looks like one of the best new releases in a while. Fingers crossed no glitches once everyone has access to it
I thought that's what the hanger icon was for? To indicate that the sim is wearing the item they made. That's what they said in the livestream anyway. And Stanley was wearing it. I think it might just be a bug at the moment.
my only complaint about this back is how long it takes to craft gems and jewelry, we already spend so much time finding the materials so why does it have to take so long to craft it too
Best way to get metal and crystals is most likely joining the science career. They spawn the most of those and they spawn it the fast. At least until the tree is full grown then it would be the beat for metal.
Love that they named the table after Stanley! That is great! Also find it utterly amusing that RU-vid is recommending a ton of Rags to Riches Crystals to me because I watched this one. Sorry to say there is no challenge in this particular Rags to Riches. Sell just one quality piece on the table at 300% markup and challenge over, lol
Is there a gemstone that works with casters? Like one that keeps the charge down? Guess the no death one could work to prevent overcharge death (if it works) or one that keeps sims from being cursed. That is something I'd love since this pack seems so perfect to pair with the magic realm. As a side note: I decided to start my first legacy run and my sim that I made using stories wound up being a gardener. She has a cow plant and it auto named it Little Simzee. I kept the name.
The design jewelry bit is broken for me. I can only get it to select "design random jewelry". The other options don't work no matterwhat level skill my sim is.
my fav is the needs increasing.... my sims has gotten a whole lifes worth of crap done due to that perk, i made pieces that i can just swap out once the others are drained..... full needs all the time... AMAZING. i went to cheat and get rid of 500000 simoleans to someone just to knock down how much i had, accidentally gave him 5 million and just shrugged, ill make it back in a week lmao
I’m so confused. I keep seeing that when RU-vidrs playing this, it shows them how long until a crystal is fully charged but when in my own game when I put the crystals on the charging platform thing it doesn’t show that and I just have to guess when they’re fully charged
I think the sim has to be wearing the item for the “can’t die” advantage to kick in. I know when you had crystal crafted items in your sims inventory in yesterday’s video it wasn’t really giving the boost, then you placed it in the room and the boost kicked in. So I think the inventory placement was the issue.
