Internal Medicine by far was the most challenging rotation, both physically and emotionally. Not only were were faced with 60-80 hour work weeks, but also exposed to difficult patient interactions. It was my first experience with palliative/hospice care, which included emotional conversations and exposure to death. I grew a lot from the rotation as a student and healthcare professional, and I'm ready to take on future rotations.

Thanks young man. My son is in his 4th year of medical school in NY and only got the occasional update, specially the third year. Your sharing this wonderful experience has allowed me an insight into what he might be experiencing. My other son just graduated Tulane Law and is now practicing and living in the New Orleans area, the city I grew up in and miss tremendously. Good luck to you as you continue in your medical journey and keep doing your thing.

Thanks for your kind words!! I'm also hoping to look back at these videos years from now and appreciate what was going on in my mind at the time. Hopefully it will be some sort of time capsue of Tulane and New Orleans one day!
