I tried Kodak Ektar 100 in my Minolta X700 35mm film camera. This was the first colour negative film stock I chose to shoot and I wanted to make this video to share my thoughts on the film, what I like about it, what I don't like about it and generally just share my experience.
When getting into 35mm film photography, selecting your first film stock can be a difficult decision. Film is expensive and whilst we all want to shoot Kodak Portra 400, for your first roll, it can extremely expensive - you might not even know if your camera works when you shoot your first roll!
I went for Kodak Ektar 100 because it's more affordable than Portra and is still classed as a 'Professional' film stock by Kodak so you get some nice detail and less grain. It's a film that works well for a variety of different photography genres/styles and in this video I share some of the photos i've shot on Kodak Ektar 100.
