You just put too much product on it. Try it with mousse on stretch dry hair then oil the ends for less frizz. Start rolling from ends to top then secure. It looks nice though. I still liked it.
Hi Alisha! I just ordered these rollers & I have the same texture hair as you. I allowed my 16yr old to roll my hair. My hair turned out GREAT! You might want to try again & sit under the dryer. I don’t think it was the rollers. Sometimes it could be the products.
Hi Alisha, try 2 strand twist then apply those rollers. I think it will lay the hair down tighter to your scalp. Less frizz. Your hair still came out beautiful! 👍🤗TFS!
@@deneengrant2086 That's 4a hair. Y'all need to stop. People never understand 4a hair/constantly mis-classify it as 3c and it's upsetting me and my homegirls.
Lianne David thanks! Natural hair is a lot of work lol I try to do as many hair videos as I can but most of the time my hair is in a wash and go or puff 😂
Hi Alisha, I came across your video and watched your process installing your hair rollers. Just a suggestion. Perhaps try pulling each section of hair until it's straight and begin rolling your hair from the ends to the root. Other viewers mentioned using a bonnet style hair dryer. I think the heat will help flatten your natural curl enough to form to the desired curls and smoothness you are looking to achieve. I haven't read through all the responses but, I am sure there are similar suggestions. I like the quality of your videos and the helpful tutorials so far. Look forward to learn how your second attempt with the hair rollers work for you.
Hi Alisha and thanks for your review! I received the Magic Rollers for Christmas and this was my first time trying them. I searched for videos on RU-vid, and they weren't very helpful--I should have watched yours first! Aside from the fact that I have long, straight hair and didn't know what I was doing, the way you rolled your hair made much more sense than what I'd seen. And the way you removed the rollers was very helpful also. Although our hair types are very different in texture and length, the neatness of the wrap and the order of removal is very helpful and I thank you! You are a beautiful lady!
I am old school these roller not new to me. You used to much product on your hair it was too wet. Plus you need to sit under dyer, you can not air dry your hair with these rollers because they are made of silicone it holds moisture. Try it again with less products and less wetness
I actually bought these rollers and never used them because of all the fails I saw! 🤦🏾♀️ I thought this was going to give me some hope 😩 lol! 😂 Idk, maybe I’ll try it on blown out hair on my channel. 😄
Chantal Laneau use your rollers. Everybody hair is different. I know reviews are made to kind of sway us but all the reviews that I have seen on these rollers have been beautiful. My 16yr old rolled my hair up with mine that I ordered & my hair turned out beautiful. I rolled my daughter hair up with them & since she didn’t sit under the dryer hers didn’t turn out so good. So I think you should try them for yourself.
You have to sit under the dryer with those especially with it not being a tight curl. Also could be the products used..... but those work better with heat and not as much hair in each. Good try though lol
I think if you rolled smaller sections and used styling gel instead of styling foam, it would've been curlier . Also maybe try it on stretched and detangled hair and tried to make sure that the rollers are tighter. I have 4c hair and Ive been natural for 7yrs and I know that when I style my hair, I make sure to detangle it and to use ample amounts of styling gel in order for my curls to come out . Im still going to try these rollers tho 😁
Thanks for the review Alisha. I’ve wanted to purchase those to see if I could achieve a nice roller set without heat- but, now I’m not 😂😂! You still look beautiful. 😍😍
I feel like in general when doing overnight hairstyles, curly hair is easiest to do when the hair is dry in a stretched state THEN add foam to each section, itll dry a lot faster and our curls wont bunch up inside causing those flat frizzy looking curled ends. Im going to order them now wish me luck! My hair is 3b/3c
Now that my hair is growing back from a big chop I wanted to try these. The price is pretty good. However, there are so many videos up with people saying they don't work !!! Thanks for sharing very informative
It’s frizzy, but still cute on you!! The same thing happened to me, but it didn’t look good on me, lol. I ended up Re washing my hair again, flat ironing it, trying it again & I loved it! My curls (with my dried hair) came out gorgeous 🥰
I think you should've started rolling at the end. It's also all about the product you put on your hair too before you roll it. I just watched another review on these and hers came out so cute and spiraling.
Pues a mí me encanta tu pelo, tus rizos te quedan divinos, eres guapísima (en España "ideal"). No pierdas tiempo ni dinero en productos tontos, estás perfecta tal como tu madre te trajo al mundo. Sin químicos. Eres ideal, linda. 😘😘
Hello - I am white with thin hair and when I tried these mine came out TERRIBLE too - there was NO WAY I was going out like that - just put them in the donation box - hopefully somebody who gets them can make them work. Thanks for this video - happy it's not just me!
I like that style. I'm 62 years old and as a kid my mother used those type of rollers in my hair. But they were if Soft rubber material once the hair was roll closed the end together. Those looked very uncomfortable and bulky.
First of all, I think your hair was beautiful before the curls. Secondly this actually looks nice. Third, I think you should have done smaller sections, using the same products. Last use an air dryer, then sleep overnight. Take it loose using the oil on your hands. Don't rush. Do it again with smaller sections. I liked your hair. My opinion. Be blessed. : )
Hi, I have the same spool rollers watching your video was great. I was disappointed that it came out that way too😢 what I did with my 4C hair I used end papers but with wire mesh rollers then I sat under the dryer 30 minutes. It came out fine before I go to sleep then I know that the spool rollers would work. Try again you’ll get it right 😍
I don't see what you see my dear! I think it looks good!!! What I've learned so far....especially as an over 60 natural is to revisit again what I thought did not work as well or at all before. Thanks for sharing though...💙💙
Uggghhh I brought these like 2 wks ago was waiting for school to start to use them on my daughters hair!!! My daughter hair is 3c and takes forever to dry !!! Lol like you said glad they only cost $8 !!!
I tried those. My hair did not take to those rollers. I returned them right away. Thanks for confirming that I wasn’t doing something wrong. Just not made for my hair.
Great video. And I thought your hair looked very nice. These rollers are not a new thing, we had them when I was young and I'm 61. What we did was twisted our hair all the way to the end and then rolled it from the bottom up. Granted we did sit under the dryer too. Also try Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie.
I'm a new person I just saw you today but I like your hair I like it a whole lot it was beautiful all you had to do was smooth it down a little bit the frizzy that's in style now
Thumbs up to you, you are always on point and give the best tutorials you get thumbs up from me always. I think and I'm just thinking without doing it myself I think you use too much hair on each roller when I was watching this video I was saying why are you rolling such a large section of hair on the roller because it doesn’t look that wide to allow the hair to breath and do it’s magic LOL, I bought a 90 pc set from Amazon I will use smaller sections of hair cross your fingers and bad or good I will let you know the outcome LOL wish me luck!!!!!
Your hair very much looks like 3b, 3c to me with some 4a. However does it matter when your hair is this gorgeous?! Ha (o: loved this tutorial. You are so pretty sis! :o)
Oh no! I've seen so many reviews about these rollers and NONE of them were good! At least you tried. Your natural hair grows so fast! You just cut it not long ago! Will you straighten it again soon?
From the moment you put the first roller in, i felt your technique was off. I believe combing and pulling the hair long and wrapping would be better, similar to how you would wrap regular rollers. You wrapped already curled and bunched up hair around the rollers. Maybe try a few times and perfect the technique prior to critiquing the rollers.
Yeah, naw! I don't know.... May need to see another person do it or you do it like you said on super stretched hair. Video thumbs👍 ❤️❤️ but hair rollers 👎...
