Credit to @solo_guide on IG for this recipe! I had to make a few adjustments to get it right, full video on my IG. I added 1 extra tsp gelatin and set it in the fridge for 3 hours!

OK SO after this video, I tried it ONE LAST TIME and it finally didn't look like 💩 Check it out on my IG (@feedmeimei)! Edit: btw to get the one I posted on IG, I added 1 extra tsp per drink, and let it set in the fridge for 3 hrs!

Ooo!! Off the top of my head: 7 Leaves (I get the Mung Bean Milk Tea easy sweet but I don’t get their boba cuz I don’t like it that much), I’ve heard REALLY good things about OMOMO but I’ve never been myself, The Alley (I get their brown sugar boba I think it’s called deerioca), Feng Cha is one of my favs up here and I think they have one in OC now (I get the dirty boba), I love Tastea for fruity teas/drinks! Hopefully that was enough recs LOL lmk if you want more!

Haha the first attempt of pudding, definitely you need more gelatine from the look of it. Maybe a little tip, is to follow the instruction on the box of your gelatine powder, instead of following the original recipe from the internet. Sometimes different brands call for different ratio of gelatine and liquid, so always follow the instructions from the box 😄

@@feedmeimei also gelatin reacts differently to acidic liquids and ingredients, milk and brown sugar tend to be slightly acidic...I'm not sure if it would be enough to cause this kind of reaction but maybe?

Yeah! And also most gelatine powders require for you to bloom them before adding it to the hot liquid

A tip for getting it out of the cup : try taking a knife or something else and cut a hole in the top, so it allows air to get in it between the boba and the cup, so it separates and gets out easier :D

Was gonna comment the same thing! Usually in like pudding cups or custard cups they have this covering from the bottom so you can release the air and goes out smoothly (at least that's what my custard cups are made xd)

Awesome you were able to get a new temp thermometer. We LOVE it.. especially for meat! OMG!! When you were begging the first cup to come out!! LOLOL HAHAHAH at the "Price is Right" fail music!! Your mom was in so much shock that it didn't turn out. We were thinking the same thing, not enough gelatin or not enough set time. One of the two. Glad to see that you ended up liking the taste and the boba was still soft!!

Hi Mei Mei, if you read the gelatine packet, you may not get this result. Usually, 1 packet (15ml = 1 tablespoon) of gelatine will set 500ml of liquid. When I saw that you have 500ml of the bubble tea & you just used 9ml of gelatine, of course, it's not enough gelatine to set the liquid. If you want a pudding type texture, you'll need just 1 packet of gelatine. If you want a slightly harder texture, you may need to increase the amount of the gelatine. I always based on 750ml liquid for 2 packets (30ml) of gelatine for slightly harder than pudding texture. I used the same brand as you did.

Put nonstick pan spray in the cup before. Then cut a small hole in the cup and try to put the lid on as well. Make sure to use more gelatin and keep it in the fridge for much longer than 3 hours, then after once it’s ready, it should come right out but if jot, use a knife to cut around the edges carefully still creating that “smooth” appearance!! ❤️🥂👍🏼

You have to use some hot water towel put them around the bottom cup, so it helps the jelly go down more easy uwu
