A little tip for every caster: bind a key for stopcasting, don't do it with movement (With the standart UI, if you stop casting with a key, the cast visually on the bar doesn't stop immediatly - Much easier to fake)
@@sicknickjimmy thats not what i said, you shouldn't fakecast with microsteps, you should bind a key for it, because the castbar for the enemy keeps loading, even if you already canceled the cast - If you cancel it with movement, it immediately stops loading and its much easier to kick.
As a warlock main who is 2400 on all specs in solo, affli experience is just pain. You just have no pressure as affliction. But you're as squishy as destro. So really the only way to get 2400+ as aff is to somehow live. And how you do that, is by some godly miracle securing a full 50 stack drain life every 30 seconds, while also rotating defensives perfectly and keeping up UA, corruption, and agony on all 3. So you REALLY need those 20% hp kick jukes to secure full drain life casts with soulburn active. Aff is so fun to play until like 2100 MMR. That's about when enemies start training you hard and not missing kicks like they're NPC targets for you to dominate. And it swings hard against you. You go from an unkillable drain life machine, to a useless dead ragdoll.

so with affli you wanna get 5 shards by dotting people up. then use rapid contagion and refresh Ua agony corruption, into phantom sing + soul rot then darkglare and finally Death bolt + drain life - you can burst someone so hard its almost unhealable but its really hard to land in solo shuff because people just train you down every round
I got 2200 as aff just by making sure i was on stun DR and then doing my big soul rot/glare/drain go on the whole team with wall up so i cant get kicked. Lower rated people will panic use cds and it puts the entire enemy team on the back foot for the rest of the round. Some matchups are still really hard tho (rogue teams im looking at you) so im waiting for the aff buffs in 10.0.7 before i play that spec more lmao
as someone 2750 in solo shuffle as aff this is very false. You never run deathbolt, you always run precog. You do more damage by getting full dots, soul rot phantom, then soul swap those dots to a second target and spam rapture. I get games doing 65k dps very often, deathbolt is a meme and dps loss.
Fun aff fact, singularity can be soul swapped as well, ua agony corruption singularity then soul swap, can have 2 singularitys ticking at once with rapid contagion up to help cleave a little
Help me understand PvP tier sets… the conquest PvP gear is stacked with versatility and for PvP suppose to be capped at 30% versatility. But soon as you use creation catalyst to turn the conquest gear into PvP Tier set gear it changes all the PvP stats on the gear into PVE stats and you loose the versatility. I’m so confused why you want to do this? Help me understand thanks…

@@lzwestside1474 if you sr any targets one or two it’s makes you able to channel drain life on afflicted targets even if you drain life one who doesn’t have the dot which is why it’s good to spread drain life dmg only at drain on just one afflicted by sr makes it looks bad and doesn’t do good intended dmg
I can't even break 1k as affliction. I'm 15-1600 on both destro and demo. It's beyond frustrating. Affliction is the only spec I want to play, but I'm somewhat terrible and idk how to fix it.
Affliction baits you in with what ven said: "could be really fun to be killing their whole team" in reallity you come closer to killing yourself by playing this spec
Aff lock feels awful right now. It takes forever to get dots up on everyone (soul swap change made it even worse), you are trained the whole time, way less survivability than in SL, zero burst (SL had decimating bolt which made the spec actually kill people), and when you DO finally get dots on everyone somehow you are barely doing more damage than single target melee and casters, which is nonsense because your damage is spread across the whole team. Its just bad. UA should be instant cast…we can start there
Ven, you wanna dark pact at least 50% hp or higher if you can. It scales on current HP. If used at low enough HP, the health sacrificed is higher than the shield you get I believe
no it isn't, it always gives a shield of a certain % of HP sacrified. the downside is you get a tiny ass shield at low hp, even though it's still more shield than hp used, you're basically putting it on cd for nothing.
I did macro cast sequence with corruption agony and modifiers on arena 1 2 3 and all three dots were always doted. But I quit play affli and switched to spriest😅and I like spriest much more🤣 Playing as affliction is only for people that like to gain pain 🤫
It was a 1200 match. Ofc a R1 player won it. It was astonishing he lost 2 games in that lobby. The first one we watched, was a 1900 match so it was a bit harder and that's why he went 0 wins and 6 losses.
Learn to maximize Shadows Embrace stacks, Malefic Affliction stacks, pool shards for big Rapture windows, and learn to hold you Drain Life for big ID forked drains during your Soul Rot windows and watch your Aff stonks skyrocket.
Build I'm enjoying the most plays points all the way to Dread Touch, Soul Rot with 2 points in CDR, and take Haunt- no Soul Swap. Maintains Affs strong cleave with a little bit of extra prio target dam with Haunt. I also don't play Rampant, because with the 10.0.5 buffs to Rapture and with 4 set buffing Raptures... I find waaaaay more value in spending those extra shards on Rapture. Not uncommon during my goes to have multiple 100k+ Rapture crits. Pretty oppressive.
Hey man long time aff lock here. Highly recommend in shuffle to take essence drain against mele cleaves. Just spam drain life when you can. Always good when you can’t rely on shuffle healers
If your playing as aff in shuffle you won't q into another aff, cant q into same spec as dps is what ive been told, can q into same class but not same spec
Same people that think that 2.4 is unreachable with any spec are the same that say frost mage is the worst spec when it literally can crit for 250k in one hit. Yes i do have screenshots.
Back in vanilla i could see the cast kite thing for casters but these days melee have so much mobility and damage that it doesn’t make sense or seem far to punish casters with cast times. Instants with cool downs like melee would be better. Casters don’t even get auto attack damage.😂
It depends. It's difficult when trained 24/7 by 2 melees, difficult if facing a shaman, difficult if enemies keep dispelling your dots. But if you are just freecasting with nobody dispelling your dots it's on the easier side yeah.
when i pick up a new class first hit 70. then get full honor gear in bgs. pause ur beautiful life for 30 mins and pick the best guy for ur spec to watch a guide, in this case watch maldiva play for 30 mins to an hour. now que and ur insta pro.
I had a Dumbass tell me earlier that Sub rogue is the easiest spec and most broken right now. As he one shots me for 250k arcane blast bullshit. So currently WoW PvP is not only RNG but stupid beyond belief
