Have you ever noticed this style of food photography before? The closest I've gotten to putting a name on it is Surreal, Pop art food photography and in this video, I wanted to take a food photo in this style, I show you what happened and also explain how I shot it.
Hope this helps in some way!

Love it! My non-photog friends are always stunned when I say I easily spend 3 to 4 hours shooting an image of an eggplant. And lose almost all track of time while doing it! That's the best part. ___

Thank you very much for showing the set up, tools, and tips for doing this kind of concept! It helped me so much to learn new things for my small business 😁🙏

Love this video! Thank you so much!! I’ve been always attracted by the pop mood/style and I also tried my self doing a shot with some drinks. Your work opened my eyes a bit more though! Definitely I’m gonna give it try again ‘cause I’d love to master this kind of pictures. Hope to see more vids on this theme! Thank you so much again!

Very nice technique to make a totally different background just using a single color foam board, sometimes that little detail changes the entire shot!! Thanks for share!! Very inspiring 👌👏👏👏

This is a boring question considering the cool pop art going on (I love that style, very cool video, Brandon!), but could you please tell me what you use to attach your A-clamps to your c-stands? It looks like some sort of bolt/clamp thang in your videos, but I'm just not sure, and would love to know!

I worked on trying to copy the set up for over an hour and my shadow edges, surface and backdrop, converge. Don't know how to describe better than that but I don't get the separate lines you refer to as a zig-zag but rather, a right-angle.

@@figandlight Sure 16:9 it's the way to go, but I think is awesome some experimentation once in a while :) !

I have the ones by Neewer. They're called clamp clip holders with u clamp. Apparently they're sold out on amazon but I'm sure other variations can be found on other photo sites.

Cool background music. Perhaps 16:9 format would better suit the channel. Either way good work.

For the love of Jesus shoot the background separately and add it later it in post
@matthewmartin3472

Especially if your creating heard lines shadows, it should be fairly easy to composite the background in post. For me here is my shooting style 1) shoot background first (this helps if you have a subject that is damp or may ruin your board) 2) shoot the subject (goal at this point is to light the subject and ignore the background) 3) light for the shadow (so step to your trying to nicely light the subject but that may create a soft shadow. Use a hard light source to create the shadow as pop art like this tends to be on the darker side and harder edged shadows. 4)layer together in post
