We NEED a good amount of people who promote good habits, reading not only helps cognitive functions, but it helps with stress and anxiety too and it is really important that people start reading, so thank you, not only for the book recommendations but also for promoting it.😊
As some who used to read at most 3 books a year this year I've really got into reading cus of ppl like haley and yes booktok. I know some ppl don't like it but it's what made me want to see what the hype was and have read more books than I ever have in a year before and I enjoy it
Bookseller here! Bookstores can sell a book whenever they receive it as long as it isn’t SOS, or “strict on sale.” If you sell an SOS book before the proper date there’s a huge fine involved. It’s rare that romances are SOS. There are very few that I’ve seen be flagged as SOS. Like Emily Henry. Not sure why. I usually don’t leave comments but the way you’re talking about it definitely sounds like a bookseller made a mistake when they likely didn’t, and I don’t want anyone thinking they’re being irresponsible. A release date isn’t a big deal unless the publisher makes it one.
Thanks for sharing, I didn’t know this! As an avid reader, I would love to stumble upon books released early but it’s never happened to me at any stores I go to. I would have also assumed like Haley though that it was a mistake, since I just assumed release days were like the standard/law lol. Cool to know!
@@taylornpickle it’s also almost impossible to sell an SOS item. There’s a really loud beep and you have to manually override it. That’s why when someone does manage to sell an SOS item before its date, it’s shocking and a big deal on the area.
I’m a bookseller too, but if we put a book on the floor before the release date we get in HUGEEE trouble. Our managers will get an email saying to remove them immediately. So for us, it’s a really big deal 😅
Could you make an updated "spiceless" book video? I'm a Christian and I have so much admiration for your openness about not liking spice and reading your Bible and everything, and I try to avoid reading spice so if you could make an updated list of some of your favorites that would be so so helpful!!
@@julianesg860 great question ! For me personally as a Christian, I chose not to watch/read/listen to anything that makes me feel lustful. Most “spicy” books make me feel that way lol so I prefer books without it! A lot of it is really soft core p*rn if you ask me
@@hesheleysantoslima3426 its not stupid im also a christian and sexual sin is something like reading or watching p*rn and that sin is worth hell if you dont stop and repent
Hey Haley you are probably not reading this but I love that you are writing your own book, I am so excited for it and will definitely buy it and read it. You are talented, amazing and sweet and I am glad you are following your dream by writing a book. You have made so much progress in your career and this might be the next step!!
Haley I think you’d love before the coffee gets cold series! It’s by a japenese author and has the same vibe to the seven year slip where you can go back in time The stories happen in a cafe and the books are quite short but very heartwarming and beautifully written!
@petermedhatgamil I read that trilogy like 4 years ago because I was drawn to the ancient Egypt aspect and yes, it's amazing. I completed the trilogy in a week.
“I love how good romance can make a 30-year-old woman feel like a middle schooler.” Giiirrrl. 😅 oh how glad I am that you finally picked up Happiness for Beginners. I saw it in some of your previous videos and I was telling screen you to please pleaaaaaase read it already, it was one of my 5⭐️ reads last year and had me kicking my feet in the air and giggling nonstop. 😂 Love your videos as always, Haley! ❤️
Hey Haley! I understand you've been busy with writing and I just want to say we would love to see writing content just like Dakota Warren does. You don't always have to read a book for us, we're goood with whatever content we get from you.. love you lots!!❤
Haley, I highly recommend the 'Fablehaven' series by Brandon Mull. ('The Candy Shop War' by him is also really good!) It's somewhat aimed more toward a younger audience, but it's still one of my favorite series ever. I grew up on that series, and those books are just so nostalgic and comforting for me 🤍
omg I LOVE that series and haven't seen anything about it in YEARS. those were the books I'd go to the local library for every other day in middle school because I just devoured that series. the plot twist in book 4 made young me SCREAM lmao
It get's me so excited when you post! You've recently got me out of an almost two year reading slump and now all i want to do is read and watch people read! Thank you so much!
Hi Haley. Just wanted to say how happy I am when you post a video, story etc. Love how you read for fun but at the same time you make my whole day. Keep up this amazing work 🎀
I don't know what is it about your videos that gets me so excited. Your way of talking or your taste in books or the way you explain plots i don't know but i love it❤❤
It's like a tradition for me to watch your videos before I go to sleep (so it would help me do that because of your soothing and comforting voice) or after I wake up, so I would start my day with a good mood because of you :-)) Also I discovered, that by watching your videos, I get motivated to pick my own book, so thank you Haley! love you lots 💞
I love this channel as always, and honestly I love how this video came out! Not every challenge has to be successful to be great. ALSO I got so excited hearing about your writing journey, looking forward to the next update!
I have so many books on my tbr list and I’m constantly buying new ones so her videos really help me get back into reading and enjoying the books I currently have 😊❤
With Ashley Poston, I'm just speculating, but she got big so quickly...either the publishing house made her rush this book or she had written it years ago, early in her career, and she pulled it out a drawer. That's the only thing I can think of for why she wrote a bad book now. Really sucks publishing houses do these cheap tricks. This is why I'm self pubbed lolzzz (yes of course that's the reason)
I can’t wait for your future book! I started getting really excited about the concept when you read Stephen Kings book on writing I believe in you and so do your other reader pops!! ❤
I love your channel! When I watch you it feels like I have the energy to read! Cause sometimes I’m in a reading slump and you take me out of it! Thanks ☺️, I’ll be reading shortly! I really need to finsih books
Ohhhhh finally you made video i waited that a looot i love your videos then others i already watched your other videos twice ❤ i fall in love with reading after your channel ❤❤❤❤❤
Most of the books I’ve bought have been recommended by you I just want to say thank you for getting me back into reading as reading is the only part of day I feel happy and forget about everything that’s happening and I can’t wait for your book as you’ve been an inspiration to me to read more books
I've been waiting for this video. When I see in your ig that you will post a new video it makes me excited and happy!!! I really miss your videos Haley!!!
@@Bellofthebujo I just loved the idea of her finding herself in this fictional town that doesn't exist only in a book it just touched something in me like I read to escape and to find a part of myself and this book did it for me if that makes sense
Not gonna lie, you describing your main issue with A Novel Love Story being you not seeing how they fell in love is my usual issue with almost every other romance XD I personally loved it, but I definitely get why some people don't and those critiques are definitely valid.
