I Tried Selling AI-Generated Coloring Books on Amazon (It Worked) 

For me it was. I still get sales from the 5 or so books in this experiment. Try to stand out.

There’s a ton of people doing this now. The market is oversaturated. I’m doing workbooks instead.

I'm an illustrator. I was considering doing a coloring book but AI is very discouraging. Every market I am tempted to invest my time into is flooded with AI already. I even considered creating porn for internet sweeties to make some scratch but it also seems to be completely dominated by AI. I feel like just moving on too another creative medium even though I am already at a professional level as an illustrator. Or maybe just moving on with my life altogether and starting a small business out of my house. Like plushies or candles. Something Simple and tangible that this ai garbage can reproduce....yet.

ya but that's only felt by a very small amount of people and ai generated photos are being more and more widely accepted on major platforms even if social media platforms don't like it so much and it was ruled as NOT copyrighted artwork, so we won't be using those terms anymore since it was ruled not to be the case. Ai generated photos are not copyrighted by anyone aside from the user who generated them with the software. Coloring book are accepted as AI generated on the most popular book platform, Amazon and that's not going to change with the advancements in AI in all sectors of life. It's something creators will have to adapt to or change businesses because AI and AI generated content isn't going anywhere, it will only continue to grow, as it services the needs of mass consumerism far more efficiently and cost effective than manual creators can accomplish. It doesn't make sense to stop using the tool that's in the most advanced new technology available to the public right now, especially just because a few people or social media groups don't like the concept. It was ruled in court that it does not infringe on anyone's copyrighted artwork, so it will continue to grow as a useful tool for creators. People who don't like will have to just change their views about it and move on if they expect to remain in the industry of digital art or do something else for a living instead. Most industries are like this. New technology is created and old ways no longer are efficient for the current consumer demand, making it almost impossible to remain doing things the old manual way. AI is now in many industries like agriculture and the very social media platforms like facebook use ai technology for your ads placements, personalized feeds, your activity off facebook, etc.. Can't be upset about AI generated content when you use AI tools and platforms that utilize AI technology to run their platforms, like all major social media platforms now do.. Even your food has AI involved in the processing. If you're upset about AI generated photos why aren't you upset about all the other industries AI is taking jobs from people by using? Its not just one industry like digital art, AI is literally being built into everything you already use to live. It's a far bigger issue than 'copyrighted artwork' that was ruled no be NOT copyrighted artwork. Our entire society will be relying on AI to function, as it already is in many industries we all use daily, like food.

@@Buildapreneur Thanks Spencer! I read through the other comments and see someone else pointed out the firsty point, so sorry for repeating it! And cool on point 2 - Canva AI is something you can use for retouching, which is quick and easy (rather than manually on Photoshop)

Fair point but costs 2x as much for 30 drawings then…mine had no issues because my daughter used crayon

Not really. People just want a coloring book. Not a piece of art with a story behind it

I feel in the future more authentic works will be emphasized and more appreciated. That's just my feeling. I also think there will be quite a lot of copyright issues here. This is still too new and don't really trust it.

Graphic artist didn't take out painter's. They'll be fine. Also writing these books aren't as simple as ppl think. You still need to lead the ai.

Technically that’s how we all learn. We grow up looking at pictures of things and art and learning to identify them with objects. Then when we draw then we pull from That experience. That’s exactly what ai is going
