grand champs aren’t necessarily high level in the grand scheme of ranks that just where you start to kinda get a feel of the game, as a gc2 we are not that great compared to 1800+ and even 1800s get destroyed by 2k+

I would say Diamond 1 is when you start to get a feel for the game, team work and so on. It's also already above more than half of everyone that plays the game. If you're going to compare yourself to the absolute best of the best you may as well just say outright that anyone playing Rocket League that isn't top 100 in the world don't know how to play. Which is a ridiculous statement imo. I've peaked at GC2 Div IV solo queuing and see where you're coming from, but come on... To say that you need to be top 1-2% of players to get a feel for the game is wrong. It's a different level of play, game sense and awareness of what your opponents/teammates can do to position/pace yourself for that in a different way, but it's not like people don't start to play at a higher level in terms of Rocket League as a whole in Diamond 1-2 either compared to Gold-Plat. It's just progression from there. Once you play better than over half of everyone that plays the game you can defo say you know how to play the game and get a feel for it all. It's a bit elitist to claim otherwise imo just because the level is higher. It's the same as saying people playing soccer for a firm isn't playing real football and don't even know what they're doing. Sure, it's not premiere league but it's not like they don't know how to pass or what to prepare for either at the level they're playing at.
