First time watching Jackie, but I actually like her food commentary a lot. Her reactions are genuine but very enthusiastic and covers a lot about the food, but is straight to the point and doesn't ramble like some others.
Excellent video! We are both in our 80's and are all about healthy aging. Getting older does have to mean getting sicker. We still strive for a strong body, calm mind, & positive outlook. The content you present is very helpful.
Great job Jackie. I don't know how you braved the heat, it was that hot here in Orange Co. also. Must be a tough job but someone has to do it. You are so entertaining. The camera loves you girl!
Love this series. 👍 I need Jackie to do the impossible and determine the best sandwich in Los Angeles. I've had the _original_ French Dip at Philippe's; a pastrami Rachel at Langer's; the Godmother at Bay Cities; a classic pastrami on rye at Wexler's, etc. A Torta Ahogada from any number of joints would qualify. I'm not that into hot chicken but a sandwich from Dave's or Howlin' Ray's is probably up there.
You have to try Leo's Taco Truck when the al pastor is being made on the vertical spit, which is usually at night! During the day they use a different kind of al pastor meat which isn't as good. You have to try the right version! Lol! :)
I think you are so brave to scoop out the marrow & put it directly on both tacos. Truly a bold move! Especially since you had not ever tried it. It's so rich....isn't it? Indescribable really. I had it years ago at a french restaurant. The chef asked us to guess what we had eaten before he revealed it. I was slightly horrified. You are brave!
I've eaten at almost everyone of these places and Jackie is right on! Specially about Tito's tacos... honestly Taco Bell is better than Tito's. Good job Jackie.
OMGoodGolly! I live in Australia and we don’t have ‘Taco’ Trucks like you guys in the US. I find it amazing that we consider a Taco to be so much more simple and way different.
I love her I was waiting to se this until the end for Tito’s. I knew she was real when she said the TRUTH about them. She was gracious with the four. Tito’s is gross! I trust her videos now! Please do more
As a Mexican I’m glad that she didn’t go to Taco Bell, Del Taco or those Mexican-esque chains, those are real Mexican tacos right there, of course with some americanized ingredients as Lime and shredded cheddar cheese... Remember NO HARD SHELL on authentic Mexican tacos, and nor chips inside a taco... loved this vid

Chano’s at Mission and Valley near Lincoln Park for crispy ground beef tacos, lettuce, cheese, tomato, both red or green sauce. Many other types. Burritos too.
I've been trying to find carne guisada tacos and good breakfast tacos (not an LA thing, apparently). I'll try these in the meantime, but despite living in LA for years now, I have yet to find a taco that compels me to visit the restaurant again. 😥
