I Tried The NEW TGIN Rose Water Collection 

I’m only 3 minutes in but I think a lot of people don’t understand that the hair typing system strictly refers to how your hair curls ( I.e. spiral(3b) S curl(3a), tight coil( 4a/b), waves( type 2) , z pattern( 4c) ). That’s it. So yes a Type 4 can have fine hair because fine/medium/coarse is the diameter of your strand. Density is how much hair you actually have per circumference on your head ( thick hair/thin hair). And then finally your porosity levels which that’s can vary depending on the condition of your hair. ( relaxed, bleach, color treated, texlaxed, heat styling) can cause hair to be highly porous. Virgin hair and low manipulated hair tends to fall under low or normal porosity levels. That information is actually far more important than knowing your hair type. Hair type only helps when it comes to knowing how to style your hair but all the other stuff will determine the types of products you use to style and THAT’S extremely important and will make or break the outcome of the results you’re desiring.

Some people don’t realize (in general) that coarse hair refers to the thickness of your strand. My boyfriend hair is coarse and I wish my hair was because my strands are so fragile and snap easily 😩

Just used their rose water leave in conditioner and whewww I'm in love. If you have low porosity hair you should get this line!

I have fine strands but my density is high tending towards medium around the perimeter. And having high porosity makes it frizzy and poofy. I do better with heavier gels and creams. Also, the products may be formulated to give volume.

Alright now.....I didn't even know this was out. But I truly thank you for the review! I love TGIN; but this formula would only work on my the finer curly hair that I have in the front of my head🤣😂. The rest will be mad and looking unappreciated... lol!!!! And that rose scent....I know that smelled heavenly. I stick with my current TGIN formula. Thanks so much for the review!!!

I think that description is a bit confusing because “fine” is the size of the strand, but I’m thinking they’re referring to the tightness of the curl pattern. It looks like it smells good, so I’m going to try it lol

I've been eyeing this line 👀since Sheamoisture discontinued their Peace Rose line. I have low-porosity, coarse (thick, thread-like) 4B strands. I'll probably get the mousse (for roller & rod sets) leave-in & gel for twists. I gasped when she spilled that expensive ($18! 💵)conditioner

Love this products review and your hair looks lovely! I recently started using rosewater as a facial toner and on my hair & scalp...love it! I too wish TGIN would lose the silicones, my hair is too thin for that extra layer. I have several products from their other collections and will try them soon. New background, new camera...who dis???? Your hair looks amazing for that to be a botanical gel. I feel like cheap gels are in a class all their own bc they basic put liquid plastic in them to make your hair freeze (which is what us type 4s need for longevity), but the natural botanical gels tend to be a lighter hold with less harsh chemicals. But considering it’s not a cheaper gel, your hair is POPPIN!! Also, I think TGIN meant to say it’s for medium to low density, loose curls. Cause most type 4 naturals have very fine, dense hair-meaning the strand can break easily but we have a BUNCH of them on our head. Just based on the runny consistency of the mask, I do believe they were targeting loose curls and waves like you said.

Is definitely for a type for girls because I'm one of them. It's just that I have thin/fine strands and low density. So these types of products don't weigh my hair down they give me just enough and they also add volume which I desperately need because of my low density.
