Cups also used to confuse me but it’s actually an American measurement system and the „cups“ are all the same size you can buy them anywhere. 1 cup for example is like 120gr of flour. You can find the cups online or how to get cups in other measurements 😊

Yes, cups and tablespoons and teaspoons are standardized American units of measurement - although I admit, I assumed it was standardized units of measurement for cooking and baking no matter where you are. FYI for frosting, if the texture is too liquidy, just keep adding powdered sugar until it’s the consistency you want. 😘

Fun fact Deni-Cream of Tartar is used in meringue pies to make it fluffy and keep it from turning into (melted) soap suds 😂 It is a necessary ingredient! When the recipe calls for it, don’t skip out on it! Just FYI ❤ Also, I love your pronunciation of “cream of tarrrtar” haha 😘❤️💖 For your cupcakes that turned out shorter than they should’ve been- your baking soda or baking powder (whatever the recipe called for) could’ve been bad. I’ve had that happen before and your cupcakes will turn out looking like hockey pucks! They still taste okay, but just don’t rise very well.

Just some friendly tips 😊 If you’re baking cupcakes, generally you want to fill the cups 3/4 of the way up If your frosting is too liquidy (based on the recipe) generally you should add some powder sugar. It thickens it If your frosting is too thick you can always add a bit of milk to liquify it a bit Also it doesn’t matter how things look :) if you had fun baking and you like what you made (taste wise) then it’s perfect!! Great vid Deni i loved every second of it

For somebody who is just learning how to cook slash bake which by the way baking is harder, it is full on chemistry, which is why recipes can fail so easy. I think you are doing amazing! The American measurements system really sucks for backing because of that... a lot of more serious bakers that focus on consistency weigh their ingredients in weather or not you measure in metric is up to you... I personally like metric

You need special cups for the measurements you can buy them at the supermarket in the kitchen ware section and for the spoon measurements they would usually say tbsp or tsp, tbsp means table spoon which is the spoon we eat with aka big metal spoon and tsp is teaspoon which is the small spoon used to mix tea/coffee.
