Only when playing ps4 games on ps5. Not when playing ps5 games. Hope this helps 👍

Why does nobody seem to know the reason that most controllers will not work on ps5 games? Nobody seems to understand that Sony has encrypted the dualsense communication for all ps5 games. Sony says they didi this So developers will use the new dualsense features. Some games even require them. Only origina dualsense or modified stock controllers work on ps5 games. controllers from scuff or battlebeaver are just stock controllers with mods. The only other controllers that work are official licensed controllers like the new razer wolverine v2 controller. When other company''s want a controller to function on ps5 games the need a licensen. With theat license they also get acces to the encrypted communication protocol. Other controllers only work when used via remote play or xim matrix. Or a beloader or beloader pro dongle. Beloader still uses the remote play app, but it strios out the audio and video signal that is normally displayed on your monitor or other device where you play the game on. So that way remote play just streams the game to your tv / ps5. Nobody on youtube seems to talk about this. Sony was never a fan of 3rd party controllers (only when they can earn money with a license). But this generation is the first time they activly block other companies from making controllers that work on ps5 games. Almost all other controller that work on ps4 also work on the ps5 console, but only for ps4 games.

This controller sucks, after just 3 weeks of use square button doesn't work. Also I never liked it that much from the start (buttons\ergonomics are weird), but put up with it just because it had hall effect sticks and I am sick to death of stick drift. Sorry I wasted my money now, I decided I am not going to cheap out again and bought myself an AIM controller which is basically a dualsense with modded hall effect sticks and an auto-calibration board. It took over a month to deliver but was worth the wait, and I have lifetime warranty with them so if it ever breaks I only have to pay shipping to get it repaired.
