As an ex-pawnshop owner myself i thought you paid a little too much on the gold coin. I'd have been trying to get my 20%! And I've also heard every story in the book. I used to keep baby diapers & formula as well as canned foods and other non perishable foods on hand for those times i couldn't give what they were asking. but i slept well at night knowing i didn't turn anyone away who was in true need of some help. it is your shop! you do you and dont let the trolls bug you. they have no idea what you're up against in a brick and mortar shop. Dude, I’ve been with you since day 1 and I’ve never seen you or your dad short change or rip-off anyone. On the contrary I’ve seen give people more than they asked for, tell them to keep the change, and even try to contact people to tell them you underpaid them. The reason you’re succeeding is because you’re honest. Keep it up. You’ll hit 11000 before the end of the month.

Thanks for being an honest business man. I had a buddy years ago that had a pet store and I asked him one time why he did'nt charge more on things ( cause his prices were dirt cheap ). He told me he did'nt want to make alot of money off of a few people, he wanted to make a little bit of money off of a lot of people. That just stuck with me through the years.

I really enjoy your content and think you’re probably one of the more fair pawn shop owners in the country. To put 13% margins in perspective … I used to work in the bicycle industry. Bike shops all over are closing and struggling. On average, profit margin on a $5000 bike is about 30%. And they can’t survive. Hate over 13% is just ridiculous.

I’m not sure why people think they have the right to tell you how to run your business, but I like the way you addressed it. I don’t know that I would’ve given them. Any airtime like your honesty. You can’t go wrong with that! Keep up the good work.

You brought up a great point about the margins. I am in the military and getting out in a little over a year. Something I was thinking about doing was opening a coin store, until I realized I have no idea how I could move the volume it would take to pay a store's rent and my apartment rent. I see a gold eagle and I say yeah buy it for spot and sell it for 5% over, but shoot man you said it 3 million a year I don't know if I could do that much.
