My exact experience with "Clubs" where I lived previously (Edmonton, Canada) when I looked for a new gym. A major chain bought out my old gym. Suddenly, it turned into the trainers all being young pretty things (I include both male and female) who literally take over several types of equipment to train 1 customer who paid for training. I'm doing pull ups in one spot and some kid walks up scowling at me asking why I need so much room and time on the bar (who the hell can do pull ups for more than a few minutes even in sets?) because they want to take over an entire section of the gym to train someone. It turned into a private chat club for trainers. I got the hell out of there (7 year member), eventually finding a small, quiet "gym".
How tf does he drag me into these stories? 🤔 The man has a gift. Im trying to understand how they dont let Chael in? Its Chael. Had they brains, they give chael a free membership and put his face on a fucking billboard in front of the place with a corny "im chael, i love to workout at club unwise" during the winter months? 🤦♂️
This is a good lesson for clueless young people. Everything in place from. Business to laws, to politics, to social norms are there and exist for a reason, often a good reason. Even if you don’t understand why! No one makes rules for the hell of it!
