When I play golf, I walk. This way I can always get good exercise whether I have a good round or a bad round. I thought...is there such a thing as Barefoot Golf Shoes? I might have found them with True Linkswear. See what my True OG Feel Golf Shoes First Impressions were.

Mark...so cool you are a fan. I still love mine, but haven't played in a while either. Maybe I'll get on the links again soon! Thanks for the support!

I saw they have screw in aftermarket spikes for golf shoes. For if you wanted to add spikes to a basketball shoe etc. I wonder if there's enough sole on these to add them for extra grip.

Interesting...if you test them out, let me know.

Packaging is great. I just got mine in the mail. They have zero support and the front is elevated compared to the heal. They did not really advertise them as a barefoot type show. I wear puma golf shoes and love them. I’m sending these back tomorrow. They are really uncomfortable.

I do agree, they did not really advertise that it's a "barefoot" shoe, and I've changed the title of the review so viewers do not find it misleading. However, per the product specs on the Linkswear OG Feel, they are in fact "zero-drop construction" and have a "wide toe box" which are two of the main attributes of all of the barefoot shoes I have reviewed and made videos on (Vivobarefoot and XeroShoes among them). I don't find that the heal on my OG shoes is elevated. In regards to support, Linkswear advocates that they want to remove " ...all inhibitions between the player and the turf, OG Feel allows you to feel the breeze and course beneath your feet in a whole new way." So, pretty darn close to being a barefoot shoe. Here's an article explaining what a barefoot shoe is according to Gotham Footcare in Manhatten, NY. tinyurl.com/2wuhn9xx. I know the shoes won't be for everybody. Sounds like your Pumas are your perfect golf shoe, so good on you.

I do some caddying and need a white shoe I can run in on the course that is waterproof, you mentioned being okay to run in, were they comfortable enough to run in multiple times a week? Thanks for the review.

Aaron, good question. Are you currently wearing barefoot shoes for any exercising or running off the course? The reason I'm asking is because if you are not used to running in barefoot shoes, it will take some getting used to. Your achilles needs to "elongate" if you've been wearing Nike or Adidas or any other kind of running shoe regularly, and you can sometimes injure yourself if you try to adapt too quickly. That being said, if you are caddying, you would be on grass which would make the transition easier. Not a bad idea to order them, try them for a while, and see what you think. Double check their return policy and see if it's changed. I think you can wear them for up to 30 days, then return them for "credit" on another shoe? But double check before you buy and let me know how it goes!

Any further updates on your opinion of these shoes? have you played many rounds since the review?

Sean, because I've been so busy and haven't played much since I filmed the video, I have mostly been using them on the range where I practice once a week. I really like them a lot. I just had shoulder surgery this week , so won't be playing for 6 months. I wish I had more time in them, but life happens. I do like them a lot in the few times I have used them though! I hope that helps!

@@FitnessFinance4u appreciate the quick response, totally understandable. I have been on the barefoot shoes for about 6 months now, now with 4 different vivo’s and i love them. Then it hit me, I play golf at least once a week and I probably would benefit from a decent set of barefoot golf shoes, I see their page has many options, just want to get a pair that i can get the right amount of traction, i agree with your balance comment though.

Thanks Martin. I got it from Stitch Fix. I looked it up but the item is no longer available. It's called the "Nigel Merino Blend Vee Neck" in Green if you are interested and it comes back in stock.

Golf has been a sport. If you ever pay at a high level, you will understand that. Packaging is great. They feel awful. I want support. Sending them back in the morning

The largest size was 11.5. I wear 12’s and these are too wide. I put one shoe on.

Baker Vinci...my golf being a "sport" comment, was meant to be "tongue and cheek". Also, having been a single index player, and shooting between the high 70s and low 80s depending on the course, I do consider that I've played at a high level. Especially since only 5% of the golfers in the US break 80. (according to this article from Golfspan.com from Oct. 202 tinyurl.com/2p8uzr36.)
