always seen your videos on tiktok, im a 15 year old and i see these “side hussle” tik toks everywhere then go onto your page to see the good and the bad parts of each, this long form content is very high quality and i love to watch it :)
This is a great video and i love how realistic you are in your videos. It would be amazing if you did these for the popular side hustles people talk about to see if any actually work.
@@charlie_lawrance 100%. Do I have your permission to post your clips from your videos to tiktok, crediting your youtube channel/tiktok? Kind of like how Tate got viral
Love this! Can't wait to see more. Sadly, since i lost my job and updated that I'm unemployed i hardly get any tests anymore. And i barely qualified for any before that. :( i am a 29 yr old American in Portugal...i think my job experience/employment status/location and such has really taken a hit to my chances on tests. I made $100 for 5 tests, which was cool but one was a 30 minute live video call.
thank you so much for actually doing this and being realistic, its so frustrating to fish through all the scams and nonsense on social media to find opportunities.
I haven’t finished the video but I like how the guy said he has made 24k in a year but said he would be happy if you made $100 in your first week. This seems realistic I did user testing years ago before it was more popular and still remember only making like $60 but it was worth it back then because I wasn’t doing anything anyway and I don’t remember taking that many on so they must of been paying higher. I remember qualifying was the most annoying thing because a lot of times you just didn’t qualify and it really cut into your hourly wage. I would just keep the tab open and it would bing when a test came in. I have heard the longer you do it the more tests you get which makes sense because why would they want to pay you if they don’t know if you’re any good. I am looking forward to see how do by the end of the week! Thanks for the video!
This is actually want I want to see, realistic & truth! Definitely going to be looking into this as a few extra quid each week/month, looking forward to seeing your next video on this after the 30 days
Got yourself a new follower. Thanks for the no BS advice. I’m trying to learn to edit but only have my iPhone camera which isn’t brilliant, so quality is poor. Will buy a proper camera in the months to come. Any tips or advice for someone trying to improve their edit skills other than consistantly producing new content and learning each week (currently watch RU-vid videos to improve my adobe premier pro skills)
So this is a small segment of my day job. And I’m actually doing this since it allows me to keep myself in a QA mindset and tune my analyst mind in a way. I agree it’s not a big moneymaker but it’s definitely a way to sharpen skills to translate to a full time QA/QE role. Definitely a resume builder with a little reward to it.
I make serious side bucks from usertesting. I have been on the platform for five years and have made thousands upon thousands. My rating is five stars. There are plenty of usability problems with the platform, itself, but depending on where you are and what you do for a living, you can make some money.
This is the best thing I've seen in ages 👍🏻. I must've seen at least 100 guys on the Tok spouting the same "side hustles" verbatim. Must've all signed up for the same training. But in all honesty I'd love to see you do couch flipping 🤣
@@charlie_lawrance geez and you actually reply 😯 that's a first for me aswell, gave me warm fuzzy feeling 🤣 Oh and I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and New Year
It is hard to make that much per week. While they say age doesn’t factor in to what you qualify for, I think it does. Before the system they have now I would make it easily but it is getting harder
Went back to User Testing after restarting my account - made $80 in a week which I was pretty happy with! Not bad for ten mins of my time here and there
Hello have been trying to sign up but this is the response am getting. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST. Unfortunately we currently have all the contributors we need at this time. I don't really know what to do. Regards
I've been doing this for about 10 years I'd guess. It's an easy way to make a little 'play' money to use online, In that time I've made approx. $2500. I don't fit the general demographic so well, I steer clear of live conversations, I only have a 2 hour window, so I probably do an average of 2 tests a week. It works, but it's pretty narrow...
I made $1000 AUD in a year with User Testing only doing the $10 ones. I wasn't pushing to do them all the time and only really went on when i had some spare time, so for very little effort i was ok with that.
I recently joined and have only been accepted to 1 so far. I have been on for over 5 hours today with it open and have been denied to everything. The tests slowly trickle in. Hoping it picks up soon! Frustrating to not qualify on so many.
I've had 5 or 6 weeks in a year where I made $50 in a week (five $10 tests), but I average 2 a week ($20), mostly because I don't do the big dollar, video cam tests. Most tests reward $10 a pop, but there are short tests that reward $4. So this is side money I typically use for streaming services and savings. The bug you ran into with accepting tests, is not a bug, btw. It is first come, first serve. So if someone screened and got the same test you did, and hit "Accept" before you, you are removed from the test. Having a good internet speed helps in those odd situations (I have DSL so I run into this annoyance a bit more often). You can accept a test and get a 15min timer as well, if you need to do something real fast. But once the timer goes, the test is opened back up for others. So don't forget about it, if you qualify. Most of these tests are for websites/Apps. I've test a few flash/mobile games via Facebook. You sometimes will get organization cards to sort for new company websites and apps in design phases. And sometimes you're not even testing a site, they just want your opinon on things like caretaking, healthcare, shopping habbits, politics... Legal things to note: - NDAs. Google, Amazon and other big companies are more like to have you sign those before a test, and the odd HIPPA notices will popup on your health-related screeners. So do read those carefully. - You need PayPal for the test payouts to be sent to. You get them 7 days from the moment a test is finishined uploading to UserTesting. - Be honest in your screeners. If a reviewer determines you're not truthful, and informs UserTesting of this, you could lose your account and any pending payouts you may have for that week. And the final note: Refresh your UserTesting page every 30min or so. If you have a spotty ISP connection, you want to refresh your connection to that page often for new batches of tests to be sent to you.
@@charlie_lawrance No problem! I didn't think this would get noticed though, as this reply is a bit late. I too, make around $2400 a year from this site. So it is legit. But it is a lot sitting and listening for the new test bell. Most 4-star testers average 2-3 tests a week. So sometimes it can feel like a waste of time, getting a test. Patience is the key.
Amazing Video: Q: How many hours you worked in a day? Q: What was your rating? Q: How you test a website on usertesting? Q: Wich time you get most the test (Your time Zone) ? Please Answer These Question. Your answers will Grateful to me.
I agree that the amount of tests given are a bit bipolar but if you add in contributing factors like better reviews and going for longer tests then user testing sends you more tests more frequently I’ve done this for a couple months now and made over 8k so it’s a good ‘side hustle’ yet I think it’s very dependent on the user.
@@kenshinhimura926 apply for the longer tests and get user testing on as many devices as possible like i said its very dependent and also spend longer doing your answers and get better reviews go for the higher paying jobs and just be persistent it takes awhile to get going
@@SbebRD bro I said I get disqualified from pre surveys no matter what answer I give they disqualified me it’s impossible how do you get past the screener questions bro?
I shall try this as well and maybe I will earn a little bit more money on the side because atm, every pound is worth it. Thank you for bringing this into the light. The explanation of User Testing was very simple and understandable and I am really hoping that in the future you'll be giving us better side hustles to invest in too!
Can I do this under the age of 18? I know there is no age age requierments in the app/website. But it connects to a paypal account in which I have to be atleast 18 to use. Can I just say that i’m 18 when i’m not? Is it even a good idea?
Yo Charlie wassup man. I am a big fan of you I have watched you for about 2 months now since all this "online side hustles" blew up on every social platform and personally i have just watched to get information about it and stuff and not really getting into action but i am right now and so I wanted to ask you since you are obviously experienced with this kind of stuff what would you say is THE BEST online side hustle(or even full hustle(full job) that pays through crypto because as of this moment I do not have access to PayPal etc. I would really appreciate it if you would help me out and letting me know.
Hard to say right now as I’ve only tested one sidle hustle for the series. When it comes to skills, I’d recommend learning coding, video editing or some form of digital marketing and then getting a job in that field to gain experience. It’ll hard to find jobs that pay in crypto though.
@@charlie_lawrance Yeah that's my problem finding jobs that pay with crypto. None the less thank you for the information I appreciate it, have a good day mate
Is this available globally? I'm in Afghanistan and I think the income is really reasonable so why not to try :) Btw, would you tell me what things do I need to have for tests? Just a computer, webcam or anything else too?
That’s for Tested+ the hub we’ve created that has additional resources, bonus content and training from verified and vetted industry experts. It’s an extension to the free RU-vid series.
This seems very interesting and I would like to try it however my concern is I am 15 (very close to 16) and can you do it at my age? and do you need Paypal because I normally just used transfers?
Found this on their website. “UserTesting will allow customers that have signed the Minor Contributor Addendum to conduct Tests utilizing Minor Testing Contributors of any age in the United States, and between the ages of 16 and 17 if such individuals are located in Canada and the United Kingdom.” You can do it but your parents have to create the account and be with you when you are doing a test.
I am planning on getting started with business online, but worried about taxes. I'm in the UK, can you tell me how to pay tax, or have a link to a vid on how to pay, bc I know nothing about taxes at the moment? And also what amount of money do you have to start paying them
and tbh, if you made a place where exclusive videos are posted, I’d pay for it because it’s honestly worth it. Anyways, you should do SMMA from scratch and in that 10 minute video explain what you’re doing so that people would understand
Also, could you include ages people can do these jobs, as I know there are loads of teens who need money, but can't apply for lots of these jobs unless they're 18.
@@charlie_lawrance I hope so! I was considering FBA before you said you hate it. I hold a surprising amount of weight in what I do with what you say lol. I just trust your opinions a lot because you have proven to not be a fraud like so many others.
