I love how Lyla wanted to match with Zen!!! It's true, the more the kids help out I think they'll be more excited to eat it. I've noticed that with my toddler too lol. Also my son loves to see Lyla he always asks "where's the baby and the daddy?" when I put on your cooking videos lol. I am vegan and I can't wait to try that shredded tofu bowl.

As a little kid my mum would stand me over the sink with some little cups and bowls and all the wet potato and carrot peels 😂 I would just play with them and make little cakes and things, it's the first kitchen memory I have and it was a great one. It definitely got me interested in the kitchen.

My niece is 2 and she's learned to say "Wait. wait. Stop. stop." when she doesn't want me to assist her. lol Twinning with Aunties are the best. lol And yes, cooking with kids is actually encouraged. They are more likely to eat what they make because at an early age, they get to experience the sense of accomplishment and eating what they accomplished helps them take pride in what they completed. It helps boosts their self-esteem when they are praised for it as well.

Throw you peanut butter in the pan or the microwave first. The dish was probably salty because you also veg stock. Add a dash of lemon or lime, brown sugar, you can definitely get creative with a peanut sauce 😊 mine has like 20 ingredients 😂

Please be careful when using mandollins. My mom uses a fork to hold whatever it is when it begins to get small enough that it's tough to hold the veggie. There are also gloves designed for that purpose so you don't cut yourself as easily

100% I try to eat like that at least 4x a week and save meat for something extra special but some ethically sourced butchers because unfortunately most supermarkets aren’t at least in the UK 😢

If you don't want to grate the tofu, crumbling it up really small with your fingers gives it a similar texture to mince/ground meat!

We all love Zenn so much! Ps: tofu and dried soy beans absorbs A LOT no matter what so you always have to use more liquids. Soy itself taste like nothing so if you want the "meat" taste you have to know the condiments people.use for their recipes with meat and thats all. And if your sauce is super salty, use pasta water (if you dont put salt in the water to boil the pasta) or use a lil bit of boiled water.

Yes I read somewhere...when babies are involving in their own food making process they are more interested in those particular foods....like u can make different shapes fruit cookies..... involve them....and different textures of food also babies tends to enjoy with less salt, Sugar and spices....
