Nice job on that press of Wolvie 1. Perhaps in the future, capture the clean and press process for a future video…I’m always interested in watching others improve their books on pressing

I think the reason many people, self included, do not clean and press their books is the cleaning part is very challenging. If you press too hard or erase the wrong thing, you’ll remove color or make a hole in the paper. I understand the cost adds up, but if you ruin your book, what good is it?

After doing it for a few years, I feel much less nervous. I’ve only had a couple little mistakes in the beginning. I understand being nervous on an expensive book, but these “dime a dozen books” don’t matter much.

@leeniren3706 Hello. As @patriotcomics notes below, it is practice on low value or dollar bin books. Most of the time you are making a comic book graded as a five into a clean well presenting five. Sometimes you get the bump as is demonstrated here. I also hesitate with the eraser. But I have no issue lightly wiping a book down with a damp cotton round, cold pressing it for a few hours between sheets of clean paper and two recycled glass shelves, and then heat pressing. It is surprising what cleans off the book and how much better it presents.

Nice results with the clean and press! Don’t know if you’ve tried Immacuclean from Immaculate Comics, but it really works well on removing tanning and foxing.
