Hello Mergim! I’m your silent subscriber but I’ve been your long subscriber the first time you came to the Phils. Your vlogs are the best in content & style, very interesting, fascinating and extraordinary. You are a truly an amazing 🤩 blogger even just by yourself because you go to the details & explain as much as possible ordinary things whenever you go which other bloggers just shows you the places they go & leave. Please continue to stay here in the Phils and thank you for bringing us along your trips since for me, I’ve never had the chance to go to, see, visit and experience them. You are a very simple person but a big heart, truly appreciative and passionate of what you do whether it’s small or big thing. Good luck and supporting your vlogs all the way. ❤🎉😊
I miss eating mahogany market´s bulalo. Price is on point, the chicharon bulaklak and the nice hot savory soup. Then fruit and coffee shopping after. Will go there this weekend
When the lady offered you Filipino coffee, that’s most probably Barako Batangas coffee. It’s of the liberica variety which loosely translated into male stud. Chicharon bulaklak on the other is known as pork mesentery or the membrane which connects the intestine to the stomach. It’s more popular as pulutan or beer chow.
Hi Mergim, watching from Dubai UAE. I am from Cavite, Ph and Tagaytay is our go to place whenever we wanted to have a late night coffee or a short staycation. Thanks for featuring our country and for always staying positive, I know it could be challenging to travel from one place to another especially if you don't have your own car. But kudos to you for trying to experience how it's like to live there like the locals.
You are unique in the sense that you mingle with local, talk to local eat with local and see local places! Rating there in bulalohan place seems you are taken care of the woman serving and helping you how to eat and sounds like you are the few of tourist eating there. Be safe have more fun!
While in Tagaytay, you ought to try Batangas brewed coffee, called "Barako"... try it hot, as well as cold and let us know what you think of it! There is a cafe/resto chain called Bag of Beans that serves tasty hot meat pies that partner well with barako coffee for a filling snack.
Bulalo Point seems on point. Most Filipinos can tell just by looking at the bulalo if it's fairly good quality overall, or not. For one, the meat has to be around the bone. Good episode 👍
Wow si Ate English speaking ..to the level ayos ka ate…. ❤❤❤❤ Mergim has a new find sister hahaaa guten Appetit 😋 I feel hungry too. Mis bulalo so much… here in Germany no Bulalo … Philippine all authentic foods.enjoy mergim
Tagaytay has an abundance of fresh produce, from flowers to fruits and vegetables. The pineapples are grown right there, and are cheap and sweet at this time of year. Mangoes are also sweet now, and are grown in many provinces, but the most popular ones are from Guimaras down south, Zambales and Pangasinan.
When my father was still alive and we were in our teens, our father would cook us our favorite bulalo and we would savor first the bone marrow (we call it "utak") dip in soyce sauce with calamansi before eating the meat part.
🇵🇭💖Bulalo yesterday, Bulalo today. Wow. That's solid, man... You are becoming Pinoy. I had a big laugh when the Durian vendor came out of his stall with a long knife! Mergim, you were frantically trying to stop him only to find out that the vendor is gonna use it to tap on the durians. So nervous, too much caffeine, i guess. I admit my heart stop beating for a while too, i was thinking someone's gonna get circumsized or somethin'. Gosh, IT"S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!😂
Enjoyed very much watching your Tagaytay travel videos. Thank you for sharing. I think you made us all hungry watching you savor your Bulalo meals. Also, kudos to the lady restaurant worker for the great service … well done. Safe travels back to BGC. Take care & always looking forward to your next video of adventures and episodes. 😊
Standard rule of thumb in the Philippines bro... if it's fried and crispy you dip it in vinegar to help cut the oiliness. Chicharon bulaklak, is jokingly what we call the heart attack special... it's basically deep fried fat... haha its the membrane that connects the intestines to the abdomen. It's great pulutan or food you eat while drinking.
We wonder if you ever tried this big fruit hanged just by the durians but these are absolutly delicious. It's called marang, it's sweet, refreshing and has a unique texture.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the sweetest variety of mango is the Carabao, also known as the Philippine mango or the Manila mango. As attested to by its alternative names, it originated in the Philippines, where it is named after the carabao, a Filipino breed of water buffalo.
ive been watching almost all your vlogs, its only now ive learned ur from Manchester UK,, i have a lot of friends from the cruise ship ive worked with from UK too,,, nice vlog bro..keep it up
Kudos to you for going to Mahogany Market. You got to experience local fruits even those you used to sell in Thailand. Thanks also for the helpful tip about how to pick a ripe Durian. I will remember that when we're back to Davao. Good thing a vendor gave you one Lanzones (Lan-zo-nes with a short e) to try. Locals love that fruit! 😂You thought it's a potato. Well, we don't blame you because that fruit can only be found in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Southern India. Thanks for showing us that there are lots of small eateries on the 2nd floor of Mahogany Market. That's quite nice to know. Imagine, I used to live in Manila 30+ years of my life and I haven't gone there? But at least, through your Vlogs somehow it felt like I was there too. Anyways, Thanks again Mergim. We always look forward to your new videos. You're actually one of the fastest in uploading!!! 🎉
We're lucky to have foreign vloggers like you showing the positive side of our country, people abroad think it's all about violence and poverty here and its all because of the dishonest elite and media that we have, one of them even won the Nobel prize.
I like the Bulalo Point tagaytay because the meat is still intact to the massive bone and it also has bone marrow but i like to pair it with the lechon kawali.
I don't want my beef chunks separated from the bone. That Bulalo you had there, because of that, I'll rate it a 3. It gives me the impression that the meat is from the Bulalo part another part of the beef that's cheaper, thus, tougher. The Bulalo pt beef, I'll rate it at a 7. I guess always check first if the resto will give you a marrow with all the beef still attached. There's no cheating in that.
❤ yea my sentiments too. Bulalo meat at Mahogany is definitely tougher. I never recommend Mahogany. It’s just CHEAP. Bulalo needs to be boiled for hours (maybe at least 4hrs) or pressure cooked. Goes without saying slow home-cooked is much better. You had great service though and the chicharon bulaklak (flower) and lechon kawali looked good.
I've Discovered Chicharong Bulaklak in that market/ restaurants(karinderya) after more than 30 years of existence, and Fell in Love with it. The Suka compliments it's taste and a good partner to Bulalo, something dry with the soup. It's a must try! 🤤
Yes perfect spot for the bulalo mahogany market, rather the one you that you ate last night, Salamats sa other specific details about the history of some... Enjoy ang Ride Safe mergim! 🙏🤙🇵🇭
For future reference, (bulalo) should be pronounced with the 1st 2 syllables together, with a slight pause, then add the 3rd syllable. You could apply this pattern to any Tagalog words with 3 syllables, ie: sala-mat, magan-da, Bora-cay, mabu-hay. 😉😉😉
Yeah that’s what I think, which is the best tasting among all the resto in Mahogany 15:39. we just trusted our guts and picked one and luckily the food taste good. Tagaytay is known for Bulalo and Tawilis.
Mergim -- I joined this channel around the time you were selling durian in TH. I don't think the PH can compete with TH when it comes to durian. But, it's mango season. I dream of Filipino mango just about now. See you at the next stop.
If you visit here in Mindanao especially in Davao City, 100k subs. is easy..Explore more bro! Mindanao can offer you more fun..You can use you scooter to travel from Manila to Mindanao..its tiring but good experience. God Bless!!
@@El_.5794 u can watch the previous video, he also ordered a cup of rice in Bulalo point, & we know western people aren't big rice eaters and he also didn't eat half of it. In the Philippines it's normal to order half coz it's for extra for Filipinos they tend to order half more coz we eat more rice when the dish is good.
You actually ordered "chicharong bulaklak" as it was recommended by one of the guys at your table, lol! Anyway, you might wanna check up on Maya because I heard there was a crazy hailstorm with really strong winds that devastated Northern Thailand a few days ago. I just thought you should know!
They cook Bulalo more traditionally there. That means, no pressure cooker maybe so the beef is somewhat chewy.. traditionally, Bulalo does not have carrots.
Bulalo, the native of Batangas. They serve different versions of Bulalo and 10 ⭐️ rating. Although, Tagaytay also represent many native cuisine aside from Bulalo, Buko Pie and Kape Barako.
Hi Mergim, try Collettes Buko Pie, there r many Pine apple plantation in Tagaytay. One thing is best in Tagaytay is Farmers Table restaurant.. their cuisine is really good..
