If you chemically treat your hair, especially Bleaching or Perming your hair is depleted of Lipids, Essential Fatty Acids, Ceramides and free Amino Acids. These are part of the Cuticle (outer) Layer of the hair diffused, into the Cuticle to regulate moisture (Water) in the hair and keep the Cuticle transparent, smooth and shiny. Together they also form the "Glue" that holds the cuticle scales to the hair and each other and allows the Cuticle Scales to slide smoothly over each other as the hair 'Flexes' during combing, brushing and styling. They help regulate water inside and outside the hair by acting like little 'Gates' or 'Switches' by changing polarity. If the hair is Dry, they allow water to enter until the hair reaches a certain saturation point and they 'Close' restricting the absorption of water keeping the hair at a stable moisture content this stops "Frizzing" and other 'Dry Hair' woes. When depleted, the hair can't regulate water absorption properly and gets "Spongy" and 'Limp' when it is damp or wet outside and Dry and Frizzy when the air is Dry depending on your hair type. Creme Rinses and Conditioners replace these with 'Quats' (Quaternary Ammonium Compounds) Substitute Oils (Lanolin, Mineral) or Silicone which have varying degrees of success and drawbacks. Replacing them with naturally occurring Lipids, Ceramides E.F.A.'s and Amnio Acids can provide, better, longer lasting results over the long run, even if they take more time to show effect.

Hallo my love ! A friend told me recently that the mythic oil for thick hair is even better then the moroccanoil...but she is a brunette and we all know that blond hair needs so much more hydration. I would really like to know if that's true have you ever tested the mythic oil for thick hair?

I prefer the one for trick hair, i also love how it smells 😍 You should try redken masks, i am sure you would love them. Diamond oil mask is my favorite, it is no longer available but i still find some on ebay, i would like to try frizzdismiss also from redken. I really trust in your opinion sz

Hi lovely always start your hair mask treatment with a clarifying shampoo to get a clean blank slate for the hair mask treatment to soak deeper into the hair fibre. Loreal own kerastase, Redken, Pureology.. As well as many other professional brands.. Great videos.. 😍

I used both the Mythic oil shampoo and mask, because my hair is super dry and frizzy. I thought this Oil based routine would be a saving grace for me. I air dry me hair always and only use a straightening iron on special occasions; so minimal heat exposure. but this combo just made my hair frizzer and lifeless.. I just think it's not for dark wavy hair like mine.

Hi Heidi new to your channel so happy I found you. Now for your two questions I think your hair looks gorgeous and I would love to see a Lanza hair mask. I keep on hand one of the older L’Oréal mask in the yellow tub and truly enjoy it adding this one to my list my hair is thin , blonde and I am in my late 50’s so it’s a battle lol!! I don’t think so! But since it has oil it’s better to not apply it to the roots. Because roots tend to be oilier.

Rutam Prita Mishra try to apply only on your ends as much as possible because oily roots I’ve heard are not good for men’s hair. Only on the tips.

Thanks for another great video! I would have to choose the one for thicker hair tho. I really like your channel. Every product that you showed and I bought afterwards was very good. The list is not small: olaplex (1,2,3,4,5,6), tangle teezer, elchim, the shine spray from the other day! I went from 2 years of worst hair ever to the best hair I ever had in the last 3 months... the first time I tried Olaplex it didn’t work for me at all.. like every other product that I bought in the last 2 years... but after I understood the real problem of my hair and treated it, all other good products started to make sense. Aww sorry for the long comment and thanks again for the vid!

Heidi yes I know! I watched a few of the videos in Spanish. I don’t speak but I can understand some of it. A little bit! 😂 The biggest problem with my hair was the WATER... the water here has TONS of minerals... that opens your hair cuticles, acumulares and don’t let your hair absorb the products. So I would buy the most expensive of the masks including Kerastase that I had used before and loved but it was like throwing money down the drain. I didn’t know what was causing it but my hair was extremely dry. I tried everything.. vitamins included. That was when I found some info about organic Apple Cider vinegar... I know it sounds gross, I was spending over $60 in hair masks and the idea of using vinegar in hair didn’t appeal to me at all. But my hair was so damaged that I had nothing to loose. But before using I did a lot of research on why it would work. I even bought ph measuring stripes to check the pH of my water. It showed that the pH of my water was around 8... the alcaline water and the minerals would open up all the hair cuticles... causing it to be extremely dry... i would apply the products, it would get in but would wash all away when I rinsed...think like using a clarifying shampoo AFTER applying your mask... that was what I read and that totally made sense to me bc it was exactly how it felt... the apple cider vinegar has a lot of properties that is good for skin and hair, and since it is acid it closes the hair cuticles... so what I started to do is to get a bottle of distilled water with around 10-15ml of vinegar.. I wash my hair normally, apply the mask, rinse about 80% of it with my horrible water and then I use this mix with pure water and vinegar to rinse the rest... my hair changed COMPLETELY after I started to do that. The vinegar alone has a pH of 2... I aim to get to a 4 when I mix my water... and what a surprise I had when I measured my olaplex and saw that it also has a pH of 4! Now I really feel like the benefit of the products stay! So I can try all of the good masks again and they work!! And the hair doesn’t smell bad... when I apply it does smell vinegar but it disappears right away. Ahh sorry for the HUGE comment! But i was depressed about my hair (and that adds up with all the immigration challenges) and this and your videos were a total game changer for me!

Hola Heidi!!! Yo me he pasado al champú sin sulfatos aunque creo que tiene silicona no me hagas caso. Imagino que al tener el cabello rubio tu tipo de champú no tendrá pero si no es así podrías probar porque hay gente que dice que nota el cabello áspero pero en mi caso a sido al contrario. Me funciona mejor las mascarillas e incluso he recuperado mi rizo sin tanta espumas y geles. Yo lo utilizo cuando me lo lavo y una vez al mes si uso otro que si tenga sulfato para que limpie bien. Ya me contarás si pruebas. 😜

@@heidiguttenberg pensaba comprar uno bueno de tienda de peluquería unos 200 ml me costaba 6 EU. Era vegano. Y el que yo compré es de la tienda Primor. Cuesta 3.50 y se llama Lab 35 shampoo sulfate free tiene Argan y bambu
