The percentage is purely visual, your MMR change underneath is more than it shows. Demotion protection is a purely visual thing which keeps your rank out of sync with your true MMR so you often get very small increases at low percentage in case you lose and should be GM4 but protection keeps you in GM3.

I love you chazm but you and anyone else who thinks it needs to go back to 6v6 is smoking the off tank crack. You just want to be a glorified dps and do nothing for the objective if you think it needs to go back to that shit.
Tanks are more of glorified dps in 5v5 than 6v6 honestly. 6v6 solves tank focus problem and tank player pool is likely still decreasing. They need to stabilize it somehow, how do you solve tank focus problem in 5v5?
this is actually a problem though, you play like an hour of a match, you do your best against the enemy team which is also doing good and when you win and you get less percentage, what was the point of the whole match
