Hi Alessia.I stumbled across your chess series last week, at first your style took a lot of getting used to, but I liked your chess game and your explanations about it. I then watched your videos every day. You are a really good chess player and you learn a lot by watching .I will subscribe to you now, your chess series for 2000elo is great.greetings from Germany.
When I started chess, I bump to your yt channel which is kinda amusing and entertaining to watch hahaha learning more stuffs to get good at chess! *(+1 ELO)*
Alessia! I really want your review on chess books that helped you during your journey to wfm. is it possible to record a video on your trainings, how you got better at visualising tactics and etc.?
Thank you so much! Your analysis and explanation is really helpful to me! I am a bit old to learn chess full time! But I love some basic understanding of chess to guide my kids later! That why I want to reach a level around 2000 Elo. Really appreciate your effort!
Game 3 12:12 After b3, what about Nxc4, bxc4, Nxd5, cxd5 and Qxg5? Material is equal and Black's Queen is looking at the g2 pawn Also, an endgame video would be very good!
If Nxd5, white doesn’t have to take back. They can play Nxf7, after kxf7, cxd5, Qxd5. White is winning. And if your moves are played, black can castle and white still has a slight advantage (although it’s likely a draw)
Thank you for this series. I really appreciate you explaining each move as I find that extremely helpful. Also, thanks for the checklists. I'm at 1100 trying to get to 1300 and beyond.
24:23 Nh5 Qc3 Nf4 is correct because the knight is very strong on f4. Ne2 is a big threat and if Re1 then Qg5 threatens mate on g2. The natural Qg3 doesn't work because the pawn on f2 is pinned to the king so you can simply play Qxg3. Instead of Qg5, Bxh3 is also strong. If gxh3 then Qg5 check. If the king moves it is mate on g2 so black has to block the check. Again Qg3 doesn't work so the only remaining move is Ng4. Bxg4 follows and white cannot recapture with hxg4 because Qxg4 check and it would be mate in 3 (Qg3 Qxg3 check Kh1 Qg2#). The only remaining question is if white can stop the fork and the sacrifice on h3 at the same time. I don't think so.
no bro you found the correct move but not the correct line, first of all queen can go to h2..., second of all after this move simply, push pawn in e3, pure lei prima aveva detto che era una grande mossa ;), anyways the idea if the white takes there's bishop check, king h1 and i think queen h4 and how do you stop knight g3?
Yes, I didn't consider Qh2 but still I would respond Nf4 to Qc3 and I agree that the e3- move is good against Qh2 where the queen is in jail. Thank you for the comment!
After you crush this challenge id love to see you do some instructional content. Would be amazing if you focused on fundamentals and strategy rather than just openings. Theres way too many “play this opening to crush beginners” content, theres a need for more chess videos advising beginners to focus primarily on fundamentals. Personally i dont think players like myself who are under say 1200 should be focused much at all on learning opening theory. Could make similar quick videos about easy to remember concepts rather than bits of theory.
I've been playing chess for 60 years and my rating is max. 1200. When I've climbed a little, I immediately go into a downward series. I usually lose over time, especially if the position is a bit complicated. Also with blundering. I canot understand why you climb so easy without loosing
Alessia where do I find study material Library near me only have books that got me to 1247 rapid elo and now I'm stuck there. I can't afford books on the internet, but I really wanna better my skills🥺🥺

Italian is great, french is great, spanish is great, german is great, catalan is great... but if you want to take profit of what the world can offer you right now and in the future, please learn english (I'm serious about this, if you were my son, I would recommend the same to you) 🤗 L'italiano è fantastico, il francese è fantastico, lo spagnolo è fantastico, il tedesco è fantastico, il catalano è fantastico... ma se vuoi approfittare di ciò che il mondo può offrirti adesso e in futuro, per favore impara l'inglese (lo dico sul serio, se fossi mio figlio, ti consiglierei la stessa cosa)
She is mocking at you, and it would be much better to make discovery of chess by yourself. Otherwise, after some years you will realize that chess is a dead commercialized game :D
