I came across this video while looking for art projects for my daughter and bird videos. I usually skip right over them to find what I am looking for, but the second I saw the title and began watching the unbelievable skill and passion this man has for his craft, I couldn't stop watching. It is magnetic, and intoxicating to just sit and admire true artistic greatness, which is being so undervalued in our world today. And THAT is why I want my 13 year old artistic daughter to see masters like you. To know there are and to seek out the artists who have true love for their skill and for the people to whom they provide a wonderful service. Never stop dreaming, never stop believing. 11:17 and you almost had me in tears. Two days ago I had a bad accident on my tablesaw making some bedside tables. The saw ripped across the back of my left fingers and thumb and it is unlikely I will regain anything like normal feeling and function. As a pianist this is devastating and right now I'm fighting the "WHY" question. Then you came along and I can see the beauty and inspiration that flows from you and now I must redirect my despair and frustration into gratitude and positivity, as hard as that seems right now. I'm very sorry to hear about your accident and wish you a speedy recovery. I'm a craftsman myself and all my tools scare me at times. The more you use them it often seems the easier it is to make mistakes or have an accident, especially if hurrying or at the end of the day when you are tired and not fully concentrating on a task. @@oldowl4290 Thank you Jeff. It was a case of bad judgement working tired. I've been a woodworker for many years and just made a silly error at a vulnerable time. Good lesson and now have a challenging mountain to climb, hopefully not impossibly steep. Folks like you certainly make it easier and for that I'm grateful. Take care and my regards - David

Cœur d'Améthyste Same. Now that I saw this man in action I was surprised. Before I didn’t even care how rings were made or where they came from but this video opened my eyes. Seeing him doing a ring with such much effort and passion it made me understand/ realize why some rings are so expensive

@@cliveconrad6460 I mean generally yes as it involves taking piece of metal (now I can imagine working with a nut is much harder then most metals used in ring making) and cutting/filing it down in order to bring it to shape

@@paralyzedmite3464 Ofc, the material used is a big part of the final price but when you see the time the worker spent to do his job it's understandable... And the material used was cheap so imagine if he was making a gold ring for example
