I work as a mechanic at a SYM dealer in South Africa. Let me tell you, if SYM actually made a v twin like this for their bigger scooters like the Jet 14, they would be a big hit! well done this is so cool!
That beast sounds insane for a little scooter. Awesome job and top-notch fabrication. I greatly admire your skills. Finally, one of these low-cost custom build channels that actually cares about the quality of the end product. Very well done.
Another stellar job! Interesting use of rebar for shafting. Much rebar is high manganese because it's often made from "rerolled" scrap railroad rail. I like your cool self-made tooling and mill clamps too. Your aluminum casting repair skills are outstanding and should be a moneymaker.
That's awesome, dude. That would actually work.I'm working on 250 right now. That would be pretty cool to have AV twin. But when you guys say there's sometimes I'm saying there's nothing impossible that you guys make it possible. That's amazing
@28:00 It is a good practice to align the pin of the vristpin circlip vertical to the cylinder bore because it can get fatigued by the reciprocation and break off. I also like to cut the pin shorter to have less mass wanting it to flex. It does not happen often so I am sure you won't be having any problems this time either. Really nice build, again, big thumbs up! Be interesting to see what you come up with next. :-)
@@lasersummit7895 Everything is relative right? this is a sleeper in the world of mini scooters casuse it has way more torque and a bit more power than the standard version + sounds beastly for a scooter.
I do not cease to admire your ability to convert a single-cylinder engine into a two-cylinder engine using parts from the landfill. You're just a genius, you would go to the design office with some good car - moto factory to create something new. Although you probably feel good anyway. Thank you for the interesting videos, I'm always looking forward to new releases. Good luck to you and all the best.
Hello Mr. Le Dan greeting from texas. Im impressed with your abilities and would just like to say that it looks amazing and sounds good looking forward to more👍👍
The only problem really will be cooling, it needs the cylinder shroud's to channel air around the fins, fabulous otherwise, loved the reebar crank pin!
This is the best build video I've seen in a long time. Dan, you are the man! My only question would be about the balancing of the crankshaft. It didn't seem like you did anything to balance it. How does this bike perform at high RPMs?
