I envy you so much. When I was taught to do that kind of gem setting, I had to file them, so they are "exactly opposite". I wish I could have used a Dremel for that stuff.

Pretty badass.. I recently lost my wedding band and was looking at getting a new ine but just ain't the same. Got to thinking my of making a matching set to be able to keep that sentiment feel. Came across these videos and outs great that you can do the stuff you can do.. thanks for sharing
My mums wedding ring got stolen by cleaners, and I am watching these videos so I can recreate hers for her. It meant to much to her, ans especially now that my dad has passed.
I, on the other hand, build furnishing objects in metal and show all the processes behind an object. I hope in the future they can be appreciated more because I put a lot of effort into making them

From the look of it, I said that scrap metal was like $0.10 worth but you transform it... it's probably increase in value of $1-$5, as you include the amethyst which appears to be like $10-$20 while those small zircons are probably $1-$5 each... I'll said your ring would likely worth like $15-$50. Hope you reuse or recycle those leftover steel.
If you make stuff out of steel like this, you're going to want to anneal it. To anneal steel, you want to heat it to a red colour and leave it in can of ashes so it cools at an incredibly slow rate. This will leave it as close to dead soft as you can get.
