OMG! Moving stuff from room to room? That’s my nightmare too. One idea: I would like to see the wallpaper extended onto the side wall of the closet. Make it feel even more like part of the room.
5:34 IKEA furniture is a lot easier to put together if you throw away that Allen key and just use a ratcheting screwdriver with a hex bit in it (or, depending on the material, use a power screwdriver). No wonder you find putting together IKEA furniture difficult. You literally have better tools for the job. They provide that Allen key for people that don't have tools to be able to put it together.
I use a sunroom nook as my office. Instead of doors I bought 2 bamboo curtain panels and put them on a tension rod to create some division while letting light in. They also can be easily opened or closed for webcam calls.
Ha! As someone who was a kid in shop. class in the 1970s, that keyholder has to be an owl, because owls were EVERYWHERE in decor then. I love the fact that your'e using the closets you're given, rather than turning a whole room into a walk-in or something else that HGTV would do to make things look more expensive. Using what we have, and materials that people can find and afford is so valuable.
Love the new office closet. IKEA is 3 hrs away and that is a good thing in my world. I have been thinking about the Cricut Joy XL. Stencils and custom cut out label stickers!!
Sam, that was my experience with flat heads. It was like you were recording me. Often though I used an impact driver and a flat head bit and I got REALLY good at it but it was hard. When you hammered that bracket - I was roaring with laughter because I did the exact same thing for the exact same reasons. I felt all your pain. Lovely project by the way. Keep doing what you're doing. You are fantastic. 500K subscribers Sam. You earned it.
Just started watching and the little owl shelf, key holder brings me back to middle school woodworking class. Did the same thing but no shelf. I also did a dashound tie rack. Ha, ha. Ok back to the show....
Oh yeah Sam!!! Very much enjoyed this project. The mixture of pre manufactured stuff along with you customizing it are always cool to watch. Hoping all is well Homie, Dirty Jersey out!!!
As an architect and renovator, when dealing with "awkward spaces" I try to use the following procees 1. Write a brief for build /reno (must have, would like & "wish list") leave for a while and re-edit (repeat as required) 2. draw or get drawn by someone else (if you don't have this skillset ~ if you don't have this skillset, no probelem. It is a skill set that few have, but one that can easily be "outsourced" to those who can at an affordiable cost) your design, 3. Review with consideration of brief and realistic built outcomes; amend all as required
What's the little peg board thing? I similarly IKEA hacked a closet, well, I recessed and stacked two kallax units in the doorway and put my desk in front 🤣
I loved the creativity showcased - the video not only offers a fresh perspective on utilizing space but also makes the whole process of turning a closet into an office seem fun and achievable. I can't wait to try out some of these ideas in my own home!
Hi! Projects really add up in cost, and now that I’m a full time content creator, I do rely on brand deals to help me create more videos for the channel. So, I know it can sometimes be annoying to watch an ad-read, but the positive is that it means I can make more videos to share! As always, I promise to never share or endorse anything I don’t believe would be of value to my community. I appreciate you all being here, showing up for me, and watching the content. 💓
