Great stuff...no diving sign in the pool and also beware of slippery surfaces is a must ...ha ha ..enjoy the GOOD NATURAL LIFE bro ...great way to raise kids
Hi Richard - it was really nice to hear from you again and also to see your wonderful children. Your pond is impressive and when you have planted, it will be even more beautiful. I look forward to seeing your cook book which I will definitely buy. Thank you so much for your interesting videos.
Richard is BACK! Wooo Hooo! Ah, how refreshing it is to see you so alive again. We can tell you have been so busy. I just love the way the front pool/pond looks with that lovely deck. I was wondering, would the water freeze enough to skate on? I mean, wouldn't that be awesome too? Oh, how I wish I could visit your farm. Anyways, the new book, oh, I cannot wait for it!!! How exciting! You see what I mean... you are back my friend. You are back. Many hugs to you and your children.
Must be incredibly satisfying to see all your planning and hard work coming to fruition. It's really moving to see the kids with you, doing all the things kids love to do outdoors with their dad. That was something you always dreamed and talked about...how you wanted to be a farmer to raise children outdoors on your farm. It's happening! Happy for you and for THEM!
With the divivng deck there _are_ still areas that mosquitos might consider making use of next summer. As such, that roving solar skimmer would do double duty.
Hey Richard, everything turned out beautiful and what a brave dive into that cold water. I can imagine that you can sit there, make music, work on your new book, enjoy your family. You have worked very hard for this, but I can see that it is very satisfying for you and that you enjoy what you have been able to achieve. And so beautiful that you also take the time to let us enjoy it.
Thank you for sharing, It's a real pleasure to see you evolve, work and think, see the kids live that life, see the different projects going on. Good job!
On the edge of the deck, planters with dropping vegetation could cover and shade the liner without the need for more wood. Planters couls also make the edge more visible, safer, and you could mark safe diving spots, as i see there are shallow boulders you would’nt want first time users to miss
This is a spectacular video. This time the story line was an equal match to the visual quality. Not only is your work impressive, the results are beautiful, meaningful and thoughtful. Just love the pool area.
Great result! Would love to know the breakdown of the costs for the pool. Like how much was digging, materials, labour. Thanks again for the superb content Rich!
Yep this is the way to go! It looks beautiful. I cannot wait to see it filled out with the plants. We just bought a small piece of agricultural property in Florida. We’re hoping to buy some adjacent properties or at least close by to accomplish the same type of pool/living space.
What an astonishing amount you've achieved in the last six months or so! Do you ever sleep?? While I'm not keen on that traditional Swedish red, all the buildings look so sharp now. I'm loving the green you've used on the house. It sits very quietly in the landscape.
I love to hear a break down of the costs for the pool and any pointers you might have now after finishing the build for any of us planning on building one similar. It looks fantastic well done!
Hi Richard! Excellent job there. Where did you find the boxes where you have the potatoes around 15:35? I bought some second hand in Portugal years ago but never came across them again. Best boxes I've ever worked with - stackable, easy to wash and almost indestructible
Great job. Why take out the leafs? Is it Just because you want to do winter swimming?but if you didn't allowing them to fall and add humus to the bed would be ok? Or this would effect the function in some way like fowl the bubbles.
Organic material building up in a swimming pool is not ideal, messes the ph, can clog pumps, can sustain biofilm and algea (a little is ok, too much is troublesome) so skimming it before the material sinks is ideal.
Good stuff. Keep that resilience going and if need to, double check on the silver and the crypto's. We seem to be in for a ride, bad one, pretty soon. Ready and willing, or not, you might turn in to the blessing of the hoods around there. If it turns ugly you might consider taking down the channel to avoid attracting unwelcome guests. Stay on top and have a good one!
