Video's like this are the reason I've never gotten any of these subscription boxes. It's mostly useless garbage that the people that get will never use or know how to use. I should start a subscription box called "shit you'll never use" I guarantee people will buy it just to see what's in it.
@@OnceUponReddit Ya'll are just to shy you just like me only come here to see him screw up. I'm pretty sure he does it on purpose for comedic value... if not, wow he's dumb.
@@MarvinWestmaasI don’t think there’s any reasonable case to be made to imply he didn’t realize the images on the back of those cards for “comedic value”… Too many things in this video went right over his head.
Watching this vid makes me very glad I never decided to sub to this box. It may all have a monetary value, but none of them are worth the price they are asking to me.
Did you subscribe to any other box that u think is worth it? been looking for one for a while but I don’t wanna spend money on something that wouldn’t be worth it.
@@saucyyyyu2339I've subscribed to a few. It's really for people who want to be surprised by the contents. The boxes I got had some good things, but the things that I did not care about make it not an economically sound idea. It's better just to buy the thing you want and not hope you will get it along with a whole bunch of stuff that you don't.
As a collector of all types of knives, cheap and fairly expensive, I've found Civivi to be among the best blades coming out of China. A decent Civivi liner-lock is typically priced in the $40-$70 range.
Civivi definitely makes some great knives. I have a Damascus Odium and I have purchased around 8 of them to gift to friends and family. Not one complaint from anyone!
Never fully understood the appeal of sub boxes like these - I imagine a lot of people realise after the first or second one that they won't use most of the stuff in them, and/or already own something similar, so it's just another box in the corner. The knives seem to be the highlight, but they're pretty hit or miss.
you should do a video where you survive in the woods off of battle boxes. You should save up another 5 or so and just go into the woods with no knowledge of what's inside of them. Kinda like surviving in the woods off of 5 mystery boxes, better hope there's a fire starter!
Was thinking the same thing but allow himself to bring 1 item that he knows about such as a fire starter a knife (doubt he'd need one) rope/paracord or a portable stove etc but only 1 thing lol would either be a long vid or a really short one
"Who's storing things in glass with corks?" Ok, he is 1000% trolling at this point. There's no way he's this unaware that that's exactly how things were stored before screw on caps, and still are
That tiny shovel or "E-Tool" as it's known in the military comes in very handy. I'm not sure about that particular one, but the one's that we had in the Army were put through a lot of abuse and I personally didn't hear about any of them breaking.
The cheaper ones like this are garbage. They bend easily and the locking mechanism becomes cross-threaded. They're made out of cheap aluminium at best.
The repeats seem to be items that can be used up and it may just be a way of keeping subscribers stocked up. I agree too many repeats could be an issue for some.
I think it's better to do multiple at once so any same products don't have to be reshown with each box. Little shovel can be used to dig out for a camp fire pit or a spot to take a crap.
The wine industry does a pretty good job of storing stuff in bottles using corks Snark aside that pouch looked more like some larp apothecary thing than useful pouch
The SOG shovel is a "entrenching shovel"..... they have been used by soldiers in armies for ever. They even go back as far as Caesar. It's mainly used to dig a trench or some sort of hole to hide in from enemy fire. Great video BTW!!!
Could also be used to dig a cat hole for when you need to poop. That's what I immediately thought it would be used for. Maybe turning over ashes or smothering a fire
I'm 100% sure Tyler did a video (or they were in a video) of the spice wallet before. He also did a video on the Kong Kase, and put the pick of a warhammer through it. Maybe huffing all those ammonia fumes has screwed with his memory.
I only use like 20% of the stuff out of these things. For the tier I want with the monthly knife I just can see paying that much when I don't use most of it
As someone who is largely into the knife and edc world, the civivi, WE, and doug Marcaida knives are the only ones that are worth anything at all. Also, WE, Civivi, and Sencut are all the exact same brand, just different levels of materials. Same manufacturer, same action, etc. just different price brackets and material lists
No kidding!! How he managed to screw all 4 legs into each other creating one mega long leg due that table really just blew my mind 😂😅. Bro didn't notice that it came with 4 legs one for each of the holes that were at each corner of the table.
Tyler, the little pouch with glass tubes is meant for spices like salt and pepper, bbq rub etc....they are a good pack item, but I agree, need a real lid. Mine is about the size of my hand and has real screw on lids, it's Army green, has a WWII look.
@@LiveTUNA That specific one might be marketed for that, but that is not the ONLY use...not to mention the fact mine is the exact same thing just bigger with screw on caps and IS marketed for spices. Don't tell me what something is and isn't for....next time I'll produce a link and make you look foolish.
@@Ducklordess Everyone keeps saying that but some of the things he does to seem dumb are really insignificant and pointless so I'm beginning to wonder.
Also, you are really doing all of us a great service. We all now know to ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM BUYING BATTLE BOXES. Just buy the stuff you need and skip the cucumber seeds
This multi-unboxing makes me happy that I chose not to go down the monthly box subscription road. Thank you (and other YT knife nerds) for your sacrifice.
That Kong case looks like it would be a good case for multiple pews. Looks like it even had the pressure release and spots for the locks so it's probably even TSA approved
When the big companies go wireless charging the smaller companies will capitalize on the people who can't yet afford the next one and spend money changing to USB C ports lol idk tho
It's been since before you were born, Tyler, that I did any kind of adventuring, but having a backpacking hub, I did more than I wanted to. So I can appreciate battlboxes for what they do. But yeah, it stinks when there are so many repeats. I think I'd have to mention it, formally, and/or unsub. Battlbox included, just how many knives have you got, Tyler? And do you keep them all or do they show up in your brother's Christmas and birthday gifts?
Looking at all of these boxes, and considering all of his previous videos, I can only assume the there are tons of this type of stuff laying all around Tyler's place. Like a crap ton!
The shovel is for many things, but foremost, it's for digging poop holes. Animals are attracted to the scent of feces and will come to investigate so it can be very important to bury your waste when in the wilderness.
The waterproof bags are great for scuba diving! You can use them as a small recovery float bag to help float smaller items to the surface or to even carry stuff to the surface in. I use mine all the time scuba diving.
The arc shaped knife is a type of Ulu, it's a traditional knife used by the natives up here in AK. They combine it with a bowl and rock it back and forth for herbs, or you can just use it for food prep in general.
Battle box survival challenge: fire, water ,shelter , protection, first aid , food. 2 items in each category 12 Items in total. Survival book will be handy
Don't feel too bad abt the flashlight being proprietary.I think its actually a common connector because somehow I have one floating around my cord drawer.
(For the flashlight in the box with the weird bottle pouch) Hey big homie, as an Ohm Law maniac, Trickle Charging an 18650 (The Battery inside that flashlight) will Drastically reduce its lifespan, Use a Battery bay to charge that battery, and for best results consider completely swapping to Sony VTC (Any Number but I prefer 6) and Samsung, IMREN are also a great brand batteries. They will last a long time and likely give you stronger projection on that flashlight.
Hemostatic gauze, the Quick clot, is gauze impregnated with a substance that makes your blood coagulate really fast. Usually in under a minute. Developed for and used by combat medics and the like. Really great stuff for stoping bleeding.
every military member knows what quick clot is, and most non military members, no its not just a gauze pad, it's a compression bandage with or pure powder that essentially cauterizes wounds like if your shot, a grizzly bear bites you on a part of your body you can't turnakit it will cause blood to clot and stop the bleeding from an AK round or shrapnel. Sometimes the chemical is infused into a pressure dressing, sometimes it comes in just powder, and the people I know who needed quick clot say it burns so bad it hurts worse than the AK round passes through their arm or leg, but they're alive???
