This video was one of my favorites to make so far! Terraria Playlist: • Terraria First Playthr... Watch live at www.twitch.tv/silverthrone111 VODS channel: / @silverthronevods
I hear your criticisms, everyone. I agree with the people who are saying that tts is oversaturated and takes away from the video. This video should be more focused on Terraria, and while the second half was, the first half definitely wasn't. I think tts would work better if I used it less or if it was in a format that doesn't have the game as the main focus. For the remainder of this series, I'm probably going to turn tts off or keep it to a minimum. You guys came here for Terraria, so I will give you more Terraria in future videos. Thank you for your insight, everyone. EDIT: If you want to skip to the wof fight and the hard mode stuff, you can skip to 17:31 in the video. I genuinely love how the second half of the video turned out, so if you wanna watch my first foray into hard mode, then check it out!
10:30 - Tim the Wizard - is a refference to Monty Pythons. There was skit with "Tim, The Wizard. Some just call him Tim" 34:30 i wonder if he finds the pyramid he got there...
Im not sure but i think you can equip the voodo doll and attack guide so he gets pushed in the hellevator and fall into lava by himself, this will still spawn the boss and not waste a voodo doll
@@handsomesponge9952You can just build a house in hell and assign the guide to it, then drop him in lava. No voodoo doll required. The voodoo doll just lets you do it remotely.
@handsomesponge9952 You don't even need the doll. You can just move the guide into hell and drop him straight into lava to spawn the wall. No doll needed.
@@mrcheese5678this happens every time a streamer tries to let chat talk in their videos. they just start acting obnoxious like little kids. it’s really annoying.
Gonna be honest, the Sushi bit got old really fast lmao. I really appreciate the creativity that went behind making it (especially with it popping up in the bottom right corner each time it talks), but I'm here to watch _your_ reactions to the game! I'm not interested in listening to chat's constant jokes using a TTS fish, especially when it takes up like half of the video. Hopefully you don't take offense to this! I've really been enjoying the videos so far, but the Sushi bit is just distracting more than anything
Yeah, the TTS has gotten a lot better in future streams. It's just a lot of people were excited to try it so it got abused to oblivion and the whole stream had barely any progression
Making a grave for departed NPCs is what I did on my first world too. Especially when they died due to events like the Blood Moon, Eclipse, Goblin Invasion, or bosses. On one occasion, everyone but one NPC died, so I gave her a special house in the sky. This was way back though, like in 2014 or so, when a lot of the stuff currently in the game didn't exist yet.
Maybe you could reduce the amount Sushi appears on screen for the next video? It makes sense for a stream, but for video form, it is a bit distracting... Edit: the hardmode portion of this video felt like the Sushi screen time was a lot more balanced
This is true but I think it is also the fact that he didn't made a Lot of progression for hours during the first half and the most interesting part was suchi. So he used it to fill the lack of interesting things happening.
I really like this series but this episode was by far the worst one because of sushi. I can’t even focus on the gameplay because 50% of the video is about sushi or sushi saying random shit in an annoying tts voice
I love how you don’t let anyone spoil the game for you. You just progress with what the game gives you and that’s so much more authentic. My first playthrough I already knew all I needed to know about pre-hardmode, so I’m glad you went in blind. It’s refreshing
The tts detracts from the gameplay in the video format. I can see how it’s good in a stream format, but perhaps editing most of it out for videos would be beneficial? It’s just a little too distracting
Imma be completely honest, the tts sushi bit got old after like 2 minutes. It would benefit your future videos to not have that anymore. It's good for a stream setting, but including it in a video is a bit much.
Having sushi talk seems to be a bit distracting from the game including the LORE. Personally I would like it if you made sushi not talk or appear even if it is just for a stream or two and a lore reason could be given for that, however this is just a suggestion and you can play how you want silver.
Next time I think it would be better if you only showed some of it. And then just voiced the re set over giving us an overview of what was going on with sushi.
this may be rude, since it also mean there's donation for you which is nice. but i hate that TTS chat, kinda distracting? you from playing the game. it was funny for the first few minute's but it just keep on and on. i can't even pass 10 minute's watch. after 10 Minute's mark its watchable
Fo real? I disagree. The game begins when at its start in its small achievements. Getting to know new biomes, fighting a boss for the first time, dungeon things, getting to know the hell. The Hardmode? It's where the game shows you what it came for, but not where it begins.
@@marcelolupatini5553 that’s a fair point, in my opinion pre hard mode is a bit like a tutorial where it teaches you everything you need to know for hard mode like bosses baubles etc, considering how short pre hard mode is and how much the difficulty spikes when you beat the wall of flesh, again just my opinion tho. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Challenge to get the Dirt pet. If you are sane, you won't do it. The easiest way to get a Lava Charm is lava fishing, which requires a lava net to get lava bait, which requires doing fishing quests. Good luck.
3:14 "An Abnormality whose appearance resembles a human, but cannot and should not be human. It periodically devours employees and wears their shell. The skeleton and organs are misplaced during the process, so it takes a bizarre form." "The Abnormality does have a tongue, however, it has no knowledge of speech and as such cannot talk; it can only make meaningless sounds. There is no telling what is inside its shell, but its skin continuously wears down, so there is a need to change and maintain the outer layer. It is insensible to pain; it may break its own bones or cut itself up to escape through a small crevice." "Bit by bit, we discovered that this Abnormality may be evolving. It demonstrates behaviour similar to the character of the person who used to be its shell. It even makes attempts to equate itself with human beings." "When it escapes, it wears the skin of the person it killed and mimics them. Then, without any sign or forewarning, it reveals its true/second form. In its true/second form, its resemblance is much similar to that of humanity in comparison to its earlier form. The new form is confirmed to possess bipedalism, properly aligned organs, and the addition of greater physical strength. All the employees are afraid of this form." "If it has been confirmed that it has escaped and stood on two feet, there is only one thing you can do. Straighten up your posture, gather your hands neatly, and pray to whatever you believe in and observe the situation as it unfolds." “Just like how we observe Abnormalities as employees, ‘Nothing There’ observes us. Then it puts on the shell of an employee and thinks of itself as the employee that just died. The sight of that thing eating one of us is horrifying beyond words, just trying to think about it might drive me mad. Heading to its containment to check the state of its shell is a toil on your mind, too. Imagine that a colleague of yours who you chatted with just a few days ago is now sitting in that room, neck snapped, guts exposed, walking on all fours, drooling like a beast. (Omitted) That’s not all. When I was still a new employee, no one else was willing to enter its Containment Unit, so I was forced to go work with it. It looked even worse than it does now. It was in the shape of a horribly deformed human. What’s worse, it tried to mimic humans. Doing stuff like looking into a mirror, mumbling to itself, or trying to fix its skeletal structure; it’s as if it was trying to mimic ‘us’. Who knows, it might get good enough to casually walk among us one day.”" " Only employees Level 3 and higher are permitted to read this document. (This recording is of a call from the Containment Unit’s emergency phone. Phone systems are installed in every room of Abnormalities of Risk Level HE or higher to enable quick threat response.) Employee 1: Please pick up, please pick up. This is the Containment Unit of ‘Nothing There.’ The Emergency Response Department (ERD): Hello, this is the Emergency Response Team. What’s the problem? Employee 1: I need a stun gun right now! There’s an emergency happening right now! ERD: Can you please specify the reason? Employee 1: The Abnormality… (the sounds of something breaking can be heard) It’s ripping up the employee. ERD: Excuse me? Employee 1: It’s killing my colleague! ERD: We’ll respond immediately. Please identify the employee being attacked. Employee 1: It’s uh… wait one sec. Their name’s . Control Team. I’m, . Also Control Team. ERD: Confirmed. What’s currently happening to your colleague at this exact moment? Employee 1: Yeah, just please hurry. We need a weapon to control the Abnormality. (A loud noise can be heard, presumably the scream of the colleague) Oh god, this is… ERD: What’s happening? Employee 1: The Abnormality is attacking my colleague. It’s literally ripping them apart, I can’t do anything. I repeat, we need a weapon to control the Abnormality. ERD: The Emergency Response Team has been dispatched. They’ll arrive shortly.(Omitted) ERD: ? What’s happening now? Is it still attacking your colleague? Employee 1: Yeah, oh no. I think it’s done now. ERD: Has it stopped attacking? Employee 1: No, I mean. My colleague’s… He’s dead. Yeah, he’s dead alright. ERD: How can you be so sure? Employee 1: Well it’s because he looks… he’s… ERD: Has he been ripped up somehow? What body parts are damaged? Employee 1: All of them." "Just like how we observe Abnormalities as employees, ‘Nothing There’ observes us. Then it puts on the shell of an employee and thinks of itself as the employee that just died. It mimics the employee's usual behaviour, the way they talk, likes and dislikes, and every other visible trait. We can only guess how carefully, and for how long it has been observing the employees to imitate them. What I’m trying to say is, we can’t just treat it like some ‘dumb scary monster’. Even now, it could be strolling about wearing the shell of someone we know. This Abnormality is becoming more and more like a human. Its transformation is getting faster too. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. If the time comes when we fail to recognize it, that will be the day the company falls. We must stay ever vigilant when dealing with this Abnormality." "The following is a recording of the abnormal behavior an employee exhibited in their last moments after they became a shell of ‘Nothing There’. Employee 1: Manager, manager! Employee 2: Man, you've been looking for the manager for quite a while now. You've been acting really weird today y'know? With that weird smile and all. Employee 1: ... Employee 2: Anyhow, I sure hope we get pasta in the cafeteria for dinner today. I’d love some of that with thick bacon. Employee 1: ... Employee 2: Oh, we just got an emergency notice. It says the last employee to work with "Nothing There" should get to the counselor's office immediately. Employee 1: ... Employee 2: Wait... Wasn't that... You? Employee 1: ... Employee 2: Hey, say somethi- Employee 1: Manager, manager! Manager!" "The second employee proceeded to take immediate action upon hearing that. However, ‘Nothing There’ tore out of the shell of the first employee, revealing its beginning form. The recording only includes audio files, so what exactly happened or what kind of behavior the employee exhibited still remains a mystery. The shell with ‘Nothing There’ inside tries its best to mimic the behavior of the employee it tried to kill moments ago. The actions of the last employee it eyed, their final words, those sort of things. And the many shells cried out one word, “Manager”."
i already left a comment on the community post about my thoughts on the TTS so I'll just leave this to show a tiny bit more engagement for the video! Great video and I can't wait for the next one!
its crazy to see someone experience a game that i know so much of. It sometimes feels weird how you progress in the game, because normally you would focus on different things to prepare yourself better but its actually really refreshing to see. Keep up the good work
Quick reminder that spoilers or backseating for any game I play is not allowed. Join us live at twitch.tv/silverthrone111 for some text-to-speech shenanigans. I will also be uploading all of my streams to my vods channel for those that don't have Twitch. youtube.com/@SilverThroneVODS.
I'm going to try to explain this without spoiling too much. 1. Unlike pre-hard mode, Hardmode is more class focused. Since its your first time playing through terraria, I would recommend going Melee for hard mode since it is the simplest class. That being said, you should aim to get the "Nights Edge". As for the "Blade of Grass" you were talking about, you get the ingredients in the jungle. 2. I would pursue Zach's advice to fight wyvern in the sky. They drop something that is used to make useful accessories. 3. I'm pretty sure you have this but I could be wrong, but there is an accessory called the cobalt shield that you can find in the dungeon. Trust me when I say this, it is a MUST HAVE for hardmode bosses. You could also invest an obsidian skull to make the shields upgrade.
I do think TTS was a bit much, but still funny for an episode. Also "It's gonna be hard without you" is hilarious to say to Zach as you enter hardmode. lol
I created a twich account just to watch that stream. I'm enjoying this series so much. Its been so long since I've seen someone play terraria for the first time and i hope no one spoils it.
I think this series is perfect timing, I kinda ignored terraria for a long time just watching friends play it, and am about at the same spot worth of progress. Its a lot of fun to watch someone else also experience their first run of terraria. makes me pay attention to things I might not have done yet lol
I got so mad at the TTS that I genuinely considered clicking off the video. Took a look at the comments and noticed that you took the criticism really well and apologised for how annoying the TTS was. Hats off to you dude. Hope to see less TTS in the future/none at all. Much love!
Hey man, I've been watching all your playthroughs, both here and on Twitch, and the way you progress through games gives me hope that I can be as creative as you and stop using wikis. Love the content!
Id just like to talk about the classes of Terraria: Melee: the class you start with and the one with the highest defense and high damage. The downside is that you need to be close to the enemy to deal any damage for most of the game. Mid-hardmode is the point where you can get swords that shoot out beams of energy) Ranger: decent defense and is armed with bows, guns, and (late-game) explosive weapons. Spends most of their money on bullets and arrows (until you get the infinite musket pouch and infinite quiver, but that only gives you infinite musket balls and wooden arrows respectively) Mage: Kinda weak defense-wise but has high damaging weapons (spends most money and resources on mana potions) Summoner: will die to a slight gust of wind, but has summons and sentries to fight for them (also, 1.4 added a whip for Summoner to deal more damage, have summons focus on a target, and make it so Summoner isn't just sitting in a corner, doing nothing)
I like how you're slowly building up the lore to your streams with Terraria and just adding stuff in with the chat. I think it's really cool how you're interacting with your community. Best of luck in hard mode my friend. :) (P.S Sushi literally has DID, so many altars) P.P.S to people saying the fish ruins the playthrough I'm inclined to agree with you but at the same time it's also his channel and if he wants to do it this way thats his decision. We need to respect people's wishes. :)
the sushi bit and the tts got old real fast. i started watching for your reaction to playing the game for the first time, the tts seems very distracting. sorry, i really wanted to enjoy this videos bc the last two were great.
