For the tape mod please don't use ductape as it can harm the pcb, when doing the mod you should use masking tape/ painters tape. Besides that good job on the board!

Painters tape has no stick so go with masking tape

If they are not transparent, yes they can't pass through and you will get only the neon underneath.

this switch puller is well known for breaking the cheaper switches like the outemu ones. it happened to me as well i have both the same keyboard and switch puller

Iirc it's not the switch puller it's how you are pulling it because Outemu sockets are really tight, and if you pull slow, instead of fast, you are basically just ripping the socket out

try to mod the gamezone evo1, it has a full hotswap socket, sound very good out of the box, the keycaps are great imo and its only 40 bucks

I am a very new person to keyboards and for my setup I and getting a hyperx alloy origins core tkl and I want a keyboard for school and I love the redragon k552 but I really love the Akko cream blues so can you do a mod on that or at least a live tutorial on how to step by step please and thank you for your convenience😅

How did you get around the RD extra bit they solder onto the PCB joints? I had to pop those out one by one to get my holy pandas on there. They’d be the outemu housings that wouldn’t support other switches. Wondering what I missed haha

The other mods really help a lot especially the holee mod(for stabilizers) if you dont add a foam youll not get the thock you get in a good keyboard either and you need to lube your akko switches (factory lubbed is not the best)

pull the switches hard at once and they wil come out easier

try pulling straight up with a bit more force when removing the switches. If you try to slowly jiggle them out like that you're bound to break some housing.

@@v_crowbar creamy blues are a tactile 38g (don’t quote me on the 38g I think that’s what it was😂) and there decently loud for sure but they got a nice sound to them for sure
