Hi Michelle, congrats on your new REDODO battery! I recently (March) changed over from a 100ah AGM to a 100ah REDODO Lithium battery with auto heating (I live in a cold climate) The battery has performed flawlessly, and has kept my 26qt fridge running well. Just a heads up: You may want to reprogram your solar charge controller to the Lithium chemistry, it’ll provide a more efficient, higher charge capability (if you haven’t done so already) I reprogrammed both my DC-DC charge controller, and my solar charge controller to lithium chemistry as well. As for charging ability, lithium batteries are capable of charging far more quickly than lead-acid ones, simply because the internal resistance is lower in a lithium battery. From a practical standpoint, this means that your REDODO will get to 100% charge much sooner than your AGM did. Safe travels! Doug

Hey Michele, just an FYI that you should always disconnect the negative cables from a battery before the positive cables, and attach the positive cables before the negatives when reconnecting a battery. Plenty of information on the internet explaining why it is done this way. Safe travels...

be aware that the battery percentage on the Renogy display is not accurate. Everything is wired correctly and will operate normal but if you were to drain the battery you might be surprised to see the display jump from 80 percent charge to 0 in a blink. The correct way to monitor your actual state of charge level is to purchase a "shunt" or coulomb counter type device.

Nice Upgrade! When we bought our travel trailer almost 2 years ago, upgrading from a 100AH lead acid battery to a 400 AH Lithium battery was our 1st order of business because we do boondock a lot. We are currently in the middle of a 2 month road trip and on one leg of it, we boondocked for 12 straight says and our state of charge never got below 30%; and we only have a 100 watt solar panel on the roof and don't have a solar suitcase. As you are finding out, the difference using a lithium battery is certainly worth the cost! Safe Travels!

The battery you have only has a 100amp BMS. This means that if you try to run anything greater than 1280W you run the risk of tripping the internal BMS controls. I see you have a 2000W inverter which could easily overload the batteries BMS. Redodo makes a 200AH battery with a 200amp BMS that looks just like yours but is the "Plus" model. You may want to ask them about it.

The new battery may be doing better because LiFePO4 batteries have less interior resistance, so the solar panels may be charging them up sooner in the day.
