Welcome to my second ever BUSINESS CLASS experience! I bet you didn't expect to see me back here so soon! After my very FIRST EVER experience in Business Class (just a few weeks back) in United Polaris, I waved goodbye to this fancy way of flying, certain I wouldn't ever be back. So are you confused to see me back so soon!? I bet you are! This time we take a look at Air Canada!
For the first time ever, I purchased a last minute upgrade to Business Class. I upgraded two of my flights - the first, from London to Montreal. The second, from Montreal to Vancouver ...oh and for you flight nerds - I believe both flights are Air Canada A330-300. My third flight of the journey was in economy, but let me assure you -- this is not where the fancy perks and surprises end...

Air Canada without a First Class service with Business Signature the highest as you can do, it is a really good service and product AC provides. I have flown many times in the Business service, and never had a complaint, because just love it! The Maple Leaf lounges are a bonus if you have the time, some are hit or miss. So this review Chloe is great to see another happy flyer! Jazzy ( liked and subed! ).

Ahhh I never realised AC doesn't have a first class service! Feel extra lucky I got to experience their business in that case! Very cool you have experienced this many times yourself- goals right there! Yay thanks for watching & subscribing!

Gave you a like and subscription. Please don’t EVER lose your enthusiasm. Too many vloggers do nothing more than complain about everything. It gets old. They have forgotten that they have an unbelievable “job”. Anyway. Nice video. You have a great attitude.

I do love when I see people who are truly excited about upgrading from regular flights to business/first class. A lot of RU-vidrs who make airline flying videos are too stuck in the "this flight video is really a tax write off" mentality that there's just no fun in their videos. Informative, sure, but it's not relatable.

Thanks for watching! So glad you enjoyed it! We have actually since moved back to New Zealand, haha. But we adored the Kootenays. Fun fact, we worked two ski seasons at SIlverstar Mountain Resort in the Okanagan, that's where we fell in love and even where Ludvig proposed! That part of the world will always hold a special place in our hearts :)

Well done for you and I love your videos. On a separate point I find it so outrageous that any non upgraded customer pays for a plane ticket in good faith and then because of bad weather gets re routed back to their original destination and has to pay for accomodation or sleep in the airport. In my view the plane company has a responsibility to all of their paying customers especially in light of them being delayed by a day or more.

I used to go to a hiking vacation spa in British Columbia and had to fly in to the Castlegar airport. We had our flights turn around (not able to land or take off due to weather) over half the time. That really is a tricky little airport.

I’m going to want to fly Air Canada soon to Japan in October. This was very informative about what I should expect on my journey. Thank you 😊 Also, did you know that on the 787-9 as well as some of the 777-200s, American Airlines has that same business class layout?

On your Air New Zealand review you said you can only bid to go up one seat class. Is this true with Air Canada also?

With air Canada I was able to bid to upgrade straight up to Business! However, I am not sure if my air Canada flight even had a premium economy section. 🧐

You’ve well and truly got the business class bug now! Make sure if/when you fly BA you get a new club suite, the old BA planes are nothing compared to the new! 😢

If you look in the background of your video when you are mentioning you did not receive an amenity kit, the person you see at the back seems to have one (at least they had something that shape in the same yellow colour) so maybe you were missed inadvertently when they passed them out?

Hey! Thanks for the comment :) I received a nice yellow one on my first international flight, but the second domestic flight, we didn’t have one waiting on our seat. I don’t believe the passed anything out during this flight either, but I could be mistaken. I just kept mine from the international journey anyway 😀

weren’t imagining the larger seats on the domestic flight - the aircraft used (B77L) was a larger one than the one for the international flight (A330) with slightly larger seats in business class

Are you able to upgrade last minute with air Canada’s basic economy? Or do you need to Be in the main cabin to last minute upgrade?

Hey Jennifer! Hmm I'm not sure... I was just sent an email a day or so before asking if I'd like to pay to upgrade... I honestly can't remember what type of economy I had booked prior, but I'm assuming it was the flexible option? I usually go for those... well worth it if you can :)

That is SO exciting! You will love it! Hmm, I really enjoyed both.. but if I had to choose... probably Air Canada! The United lounge was a lot better than the Air Canada lounge though. Depend what route you're taking etc :)

your videos are very good. We are travelling business via Westjet to Puerto Vallarta in February. Do you get the keep the bag the amenity items come in? We used our points, only costing $740cad for 2, and economy points. Still would have cost us nearly the same to fly economy with our points. Visa Avion seems to fly upgraded so cheap sometimes. Its hit or miss. Really got to search the best days if you want premium and above. We searched for premium and to our surprise the way there we were automatically sitting in business instead, way home is only premium, both dreamliner planes. strange update, i should have finished watching, i see you kept the kits lol! :)

Absolutely ridiculous airline and preposterous prices . One way economy ticket from São Paulo to Toronto $1189 and that's not including baggage. Same date on Avianca ,a far better airline with superior service, $380 including baggage .

That does sound super expensive!! I did notice one way prices were quite a lot also on my route. I did find the service to be awesome however. I’ll have to try Avianca myself! :)
