I mean, as a man who’s hated chainsawman for a while I hate it for different reasons, I guess I don’t like the way the story’s going? It’s like denjis a random dude who’s only significance is that he’s chainsawman, and that’s why characters use him or want to fight him or even want a single thing to do with denji, I surely don’t like denji he’s portrayed as a guy who’ll do anything for money and a guy who’ll do anything to have sex with a girl even if it’s one who he knows completely nothing about, and despite the fact it gets thrown in his face 247 that dating or trying to do it with random woman is bad and it ends up being messed up, it still somehow drives him.. and now we have a character who went from hating him to liking him, why does she like him? No solid reason, sure you can theorize it’s because he saved her but she didn’t know it was denji till upcoming chapters, other than that everything else he’s done shouldn’t have striked a “I am attracted to this man” chord, they barely known each other for a long time, and they haven’t had time to grow close enough to create a steady bond, even when they got trapped in the infinity devil that was literally only one moment that anybody with a decent heart would’ve done, and shouldn’t of been taking as “oh now he’s my knight in shining armor” but I suppose chainsawman is just a series that is for people who’s morals are less complex than mine, I mean honestly could you really see yourself liking denji without the chainsaw devil, he’s kinda just a careless person who starts caring when his corny ambitions are offered.

What you said that he’s nothing special which was the whole point of part one and it’s something he comes to terms with. Denji is the way he is because of his upbringings or lack there of. He’ll do anything for money to pay for nayuta college fund because he wants her to get an education because he was denied having one himself. Denji will get with anyone because he has no concept of a healthy relationship due to having no parents, also he’s a teenager he’s obviously gonna want to have sex. Denji didn’t develop properly that’s why when we see in his mind he’s a child and not teen teen denji because he’s still a child inside. His situation with asa was explained, asa always wanted to be able to connect with someone but couldn’t no one has ever shown kindness or affection to her besides denji hence her crush on denji, asa is too shy to tell Denji but yoru always acts on Asa’s feelings hence this chapter.

I don't think being upset about the scene makes someone a fake CSM. There r some scenes you'll hate and others u won't care that they happened. But these people on twitter r definitely taking it too far.

Denji didn’t get a handjob from a girl he liked, he got his dick grabbed without consent by yoru and proceeded to get sexually assaulted. In addition to that, Asa was also assaulted as she had no control over her body. When Denji ate Makima, he did it because it was the only way to kill her, as eating her was an act of love which bypassed Makima’s contract. Denji’s act was necessary to save the world, while Yoru’s act was unnecessary, wrong, and had no consent.
You know I’m starting to think that this is why in English class we are taught “what did the author mean by this?” “what is the author trying to say by this?” and all that. He made a good point on her remembering that they kissed. Subtle for many but she's not supposed to be able to resist control which wiped her memories. Maybe the new control is weaker, but it says a lot when not even gun could resist control vs denji. So love may be the weakness to devils and we may be getting a lot more than people think for the ending. Though fugi will have to make everything more spoon fed. I feel the hate is from the fact that some series arent supposed to have such a wide audience. sounds lame but some just wont get some stories hence why I say people are dumb for thinking Demon slayer is mid or trash cause the plot stays easyier than most to just watch and enjoy. Yeah, I can agree with everything exept it not being SA by Yoru on Asa. She was not controlling her body. Literally. Just because Asa likes Denji and maybe wanted to do something like that with him, doesn't mean that she would have chose to do it in the same situation. Yoru acted using Asa's body instead. I think you can compare it to having sex while you are drunk. Yoru made Asa "drunk" and had masturbated together with her (as an example of a simular situation with agency problem). Just because they both maybe wanted to get this pleasure, doesn't make it ok for Yoru to disregard Asa's agency and use her body without her consent like that. And don't get me wrong, I am not saying that everyone who likes this chapter is horrible or that you are bad person for seing it differently from me. That's still a fictional story. But I think that we need to still acknowledge elements of it, that connect to our reality, and understand them.

I'd argue it IS an assault. On Asa, by Yoru. Yoru took control and acted on Asa's feelings, but without her consent and basically abandoned her at the end with the consequences of this action. Asa's innocence was forcefully taken away from her, using the person she loves as a tool to do so.

Denji didn't hate it, but he (sort of) didn't enjoy it either, he was confused at the most part due to yoru's behavior who he thinks is still asa in control. Asa herself didn't enjoy this because now she thinks that Denji won't like her because of this showing that she genuinely loves him and wants to be with him normally. Chapter 168 sort of covers through this

Actually great analysis, Chibi. I never once looked at the chapter and thought it was assault. The Denji-Asa-Yoru connection is something that had a whole arc dedicated to it. This is not the first time people have a hard time understanding Chainsaw Man or Fujimoto's writing in general, even when it comes to his other works. It's something I've accepted and moved on from. Best thing to do now is just laugh at them, because trying to explain the plot and intent of the story clearly is not something their minds are capable of understanding, and I've seen way too many examples of that, even when it was about Part 1. Fujimoto is way too based for a lot of people LOL

A lot of women, heck even men, will have their mood turned off if you keep asking them things, "can i touch" "can i do this" etc. You just go with the flow, and if they don't like something, they should say it or stop you. That's my best real world advice.

But, he was unaware of the presence of a third party that he unknowingly partakes in this action with. Asa might be attracted to Denji, but she did not choose this to happen.

So I know this is a very touchy subject, and it isn't how normal people would express affection or attraction, but by definition, SA and SH are things that happen when one party is does not consent, or sexual contact is unwanted. Denji obviously ain't cool with the idea of losing his junk, but once he realizes that is not what is happening, he's fully into it. Is this a healthy interaction between two who would be possibly courting each other? Hell No! But I don't think you can honestly call this SA.
I have to kind of disagree with you here. I think both Asa and Denji have been assaulted in the most recent chapters. With Denji, Yoru is abusing Denji’s poor mental state to get with him and use him for her desires. First which was to fight Chainsaw Man but when Asa’s emotions took over Yoru she used him for her physical desires. And with Asa, Yoru is using Asa’s body in a way that she probably wouldn’t have done in a sexual manner. This is why I think you’re wrong but it’s just a fictional story and not a big enough deal to send hate and death threats
