I Used 7 Weird Lenses to Shoot a Documentary 

This is such a great video, story and conclusions! A lot of cinematographers say anamorphics create a "waterfall" effect on the out of focus areas, and this could not be a better match to the subject of the video! Second, in early Brazilian Cinema, one of our most famous directors - Humberto Mauro - used to say "cinema é cachoeira", or "cinema is waterfalls" and all his films would feature at least one shot of a waterfall. :P

It's really cool to see not just tests but a real production made out of these lenses

Betutiful imagery. Waterfall Hunter made the right choice to capture waterfalls rather than "sun bathing on the beach". The right lens for the story, not construct a story to fit the lens. Brilliant!

As always highly interesting and beauuuutiful footage! I feel the videographic genes growing inside my photographers soul and thanks to you I'll let it out soon , after my recovery is done. Due to sickness I wasn't able to go out and shoot for over 3 month now and I will go to rehabilitation in the next weeks , still looking for a nice place to recover and due to the fact that I have the choice of the place maybe I'll go to the "Black Forest" here in Germany. I think there are not so many other places that are more perfect to start with videography and to play with my New drone I fell in love with...sadly it got broken on its 3rd flight and I hope the repair or exchange won't last too long. Meanwhile I'll have a closer look at these anamorphic Adapters, they look very compelling to me and I'd like to give them a try on my vintage-lenses. Btw do I own a Helios 40-2c from 2018 , that is ,besides its predecessor,a fantastic lens that I highly recommend , for nearly the same price as the "original" , but with better coatings and that fantastic swirl,too and a Canon ef-mount that allows me to use it on my Cannon M50 with the Viltrox Speedbooster and my Canon EOS-R as well and it performs phantastic on both of them. Last but not least I have to say " Thank You" for your outrageous content and wonderful Videos, bringing me on new ideas from time to time , f.e. getting me interested in wet-plate photography as well. The only breakdown is , that I have to watch your videos secretly ,so my girlfriend won't be afraid about me putting my whole money in new equipment. If she realizes me looking for your footage she always says: Don't look at the dangerous product praising Mr.Stern , you know where this will end. And I answer: Yes , Baby. In a highly satisfied and sometimes rich and famous partner , look at it as an investment in our future and the fullfilling of our dream to travel to the most beautiful places...that always helps... Only joking...or...am I? 😂🙏💚🙇‍♂️

Did you use the Primoplan 75mm with the Kowa 16H for the forest footage at 0:24? 'Cause that footage is absolutely amazing!!

You fucked up the lavier microphone placement. When the microphone is too close to the larynx or the windpipe, there is too much bass resonance and speech is less clear.

This is just magical ! The combination of lenses make for some incredible shots and tge landscape makes it all the more beautiful ! I've always loved the wide shots from cinema cameras and wanted to recreate them. The xpan and widelux cameras come to mind. Do you have any suggestions on how to go about recreating something like this in a mirrorless camera ? I use a fuji xt20
