Hey, I'm curious as to why you bussed ALL guitars to one aux track. Wouldn't it have been a much better sound if you bussed the rhythm, leads and cleans on their on individual aux tracks? Genuinely curious about this. I apologize if you explained it and I missed it, but would love for you to elaborate. Thank you!

Because I Use an umbrella approach to guitars, like top-down mixing. It just ensures the guitars have similar broad mixing to fit with other instruments as a whole, then I go within the individual guitars to mix them into the greater sound. If that makes sense 😅. It's a technique I took from Nolly

Why did you use older versions of ozone and neutron ? I use Izotope A.I just as a starting point, sometimes it gets it right or really close. but for the most part i just use the stand alone part of it like eq, impact, imager just to name a few. Good news is A.I isn't there yet but it will be some day but i don't think it could fully replace the human touch and hearing. cool video though just wish you would of used the current versions of he plug ins. also really cool song !!

The newer versions cost money for one lol. Also, I've heard after Ozone 9, izotope limited is functionality with the modules, and I like having those. 🤣

@Sinisterbvnny I get the cost of it and it actually the opposite there is more functionality in ozone 10 and 11, even more with Neutron 4. the A.I is much better and again I would still just use it to build a starting point to make a mix session or even a master session.

@SoundForgeStudio I've heard mixed things. But I like to mix myself, I don't even really use the AI in them. I just did for the video

@@SoundForgeStudio You're wrong though, its not an opinion. Ozone 9 Elements has more control than ozone 10 and up Elements.. they took away things so that you have to buy Standard or Advanced. This video he is using Elements, so he's much better off sticking with it instead of spending a few hundred bucks for basically no improvement especially if he doesn't rely on AI

probably if you did this not in isolation (soloed) but with full mix, the AI will have better idea on the final outcome. Same as producing with ears - after mastering you never listen and master in isolation but in blocks, sections, buses and full mix

As far as I'm aware, the ai only reads the output of the track the plugin is placed on, not the entire mix

So no real amps and drums. Yeah, id love to see how this ozone plugin handle miced instruments. I mean this is good video but not what i was looking for. Keep up the good work tho!!

To be honest, i don't think it would be too different. It treats it all the same. The only variance would be what amp and/or drums you use

Umm... With all virtual instruments and no vocals, is a bad mix even possible? Try actually mixing real instruments and vocals. Lol

If you see my other content, I do have vocals as well. Also, it's the digital age - most people are using virtual instruments so this is more relevant of a use-case than having an entire studio capable of recording everything properly

@@Sinisterbvnny Your mix definitely does sound better. I would personally use AI that allows me to tweak it after it fixes all the "problems" with the mix. Then it would save me time and give me a better result than doing it all by ear.

It's definitely possible to do so. What I'm saying is, I can get a much better sound from the RAW files using GGD drums as opposed to yours. I don't have time to learn how to mic real drums and all that, or even mic a guitar cab (which in early videos I used to do). In today's world, I need to be able to quickly make something of quality with as little variables as possible. If that makes sense.

@@Sinisterbvnny Fake drums don't sound better to me in any circumstance. They sound fake. A slight upgrade to triggers or edrums but audibly fake.
