Base on my experience with counter style is that this style actually goes really well when playing against aggressive player but when it comes to passive player you’re gonna have a hard time cause they know how to throw their punches more carefully and you’re more likely going to get countered the most and perfect dodged by an experienced player
I agree, based on what I observed in the video, he's not utilizing the counter buffs even at the last update, counter should be used by countering the opponent and dodging at the right time, sure you could play aggressive and passive at the same time since counter can melt the opponent little by little if the counter lands on the right time(this is based on my experience so feel free to correct me😊)
Counter is one of my top styles. It is best to be passive-aggressive when using it since M1S have no damage and opponents can see your M2 coming from a mile away. I usually try to be unpredictable. Works well.
I'm only like 20k elo and you fight in a waaay higher skill division than mine so i don't think this will help alot but, you shouldn't be trading interactions back and forth with counter as the damage you cash out isn't worth it. It's better to go back to neutral and reset than go blow for blow. Also if those 2 matches were the only matches you played with counter then i think you got a bit screwed over as slugger and ghost are one of the worst matchups for counter and you shouldn't let this experience stop you from maybe trying out counter again some time in the future when it's less low tier
The best way for play counter style is: predict and timing You predict when he gonna punch you, take the timing of when the opponent stop blocking your punchs and always try to land a m2 or m1 when the opponent is dashing
My tips is to play in specific way that is super obvious to learn in the opponent eye i usualy do m1 + m2 repeatedly to create patern that way when im sure my opponent catch on my playstyle i can use my own playstyle to counter my opponent This work wonderfully time to time when i hit 2 counter m2 on the opponent they ragequit installing fear is wonderfull tech 😂
One of the worst styles no matter what you do. Relying on prediction based counters in a game that rewards extremely passive play at a higher « skill » level is absolutely horrendous
Yeah that's true counter at high rank just not viable cause ur not getting counters and even if you do they will just back away and heal all the dmg u did with the counter@@Virgile77777

i dont agree with counter being one of the worst styles in the game, you actually ussed it wrong, is not an agressive style, you need to read you opponent as much as you can to actually deal good counter dmg, because the whole style is focused on counters, you playedvery agressive (and no offense, but for your rank you fighted as a bronze or silver ranked), also, its not as predictable because the m2 is a bit sower so it still can hook the opponents in your range, the m2 counterdeals an insane amount of dmg (Almost the same as a Slugger m2), and its the only counter style with almost no big downsides (Taking more dmg when getting countered, dont being able to back dash, getting stunnd after the jab, yk, all of those "top tier" styles wich can be countered with the correct timming andthey have big downsides), theonly downside for counter is his low dmg in all the normal hits, going for the hits is not recommended for counter style, i recommend you to try to be more passive with it and try to learn how your opponent usually fights, so you can counter a lot more and deal insane dmg in just 4 hits and 1 heavy Edit: I forgot, use basic style or smash, those two are very cool and good (Basic is pretty balanced like omg, it destroys)
@@angelodugarte9649 you can stop them with a good timming and a m2, they reduced the dash i-frames if you didnt know (its harder to use dash spamming now)
@@Fumetsu_F.A also the problem with dash spam is that if you play very passive you will have the advantage in the fight(if you know who to time it well)
