Interestingly enough. Lapras also has hydration and 95 base special defense. The main difference is its slower than dewgong but a lot more bulky

I think this wouldv'e worked well with a secondary rain setter or something like the toad who can set it up on switch in (blanked on the ability name). That way, if you need to, you can get off a rest on dewgong, swap over to the other rain setter and set the rain, then get dewgong back to wake up.

Imagine being an OU/Ubers scrub and almost losing to a team with Meganium and Dewgong on it.

Dewgong was one of my my main mons back in pokemon stadium 1, as it actually had a good moveset. Also, perish song dewgong is my new jam. I think I saw Joey use a similar set as well, as he too is a perish trap enjoyer. Altaria is another good one, and my favorite, using fire spin.

The fact that the whole video is a Dewgong roast annoys me since I LOVE Dewgong, but i also love seeing Haydunn using it to it’s best potential. Dewgong needs an evolution since it’s basically a worse Lapras and Walrein lol but thanks for using the inch an a half horn Seel, makes me happy

I'd like to see Dewgong get an evolution with a type change & ability change. It's 475. Let's buff that to 575 & give it a new ability that gives it stab on water moves, let's call it water works Type: Ice / Electric Ability: Water Works HP: 120 Attack: 115 Defence: 95 Sp Atk: 70 Sp Def: 95 Speed: 70 I'd do this on top of Type buff for Ice, I'd make Resistance: Ice, Ground, Water, Electric Remove Fire as a weakness and move it neutral This would give Dewgong the following Resistances: 1/4x Electric 1/2x Ice, Water, Flying Weaknesses: Rock, Fighting

YESSS. My favorite pokemon. I wish he got some more love stats or ability wise though I always thought of like a narwahl type of evolution... so long as it stays cute! Dewgong is the G.O.A.T as far as I'm concerned.

Dewgong along with Hypno are some of the most forgettable pokemon ever. I'm saying that and I grew up with Pokemon Gen 1. Meanwhile others the Slowpoke line get hella love. The Seal, Drowzee, Spearow, Paris, Venonat, Psyduk and maybe Goldeen lines need love. I'm sure Golduk, Venemoth and Fearow have enough demand to make something happen.

I would say Dewgong is just painfully average. He does get Surf and Ice Beam in XD though.

Dewgong is a lot better in doubles. Perish song is much more viable, rain is more popular and better, and dewgong learns fake out which is an excellent move in doubles.

Never even thought about whirlpool with perish song, I would've been so angry if someone would have trapped me with whirlpool and perish song.

I love dewgong one of my fave Pokémon I used to run a set that had rest sleep talk but I would use entrainment and give it technician with water pulse and frost shock that was nasty 90 power stab always crit Ice move was nappy

Maybe with the rest shenanigans Dewgong doesnt actually need Leftovers? Then a damp rock could make the rain last and you could put a mon or two on the team that could tangentially benefit from that
