For me it's Xueyi (cool robot), Firefly (girl in a cool robot), and it's between Jingliu because she was my first limited 5 star or HuoHuo who's also my favorite healer. Fun fact those last two are the only characters I've gotten their limited light cone for.
Hopefully this means DOT will get more love in the future. Even with Jiaoqiu they only have 3 characters realistically for endgame content. Would be nice to get a DOT tailored support so you didn't need to use Robin
Guys should i make dOT as second team?? I am new and i don't have second team so .. I got boothill break team then saving for second team as i dont like any characters so is DOT good as better future investment ( I saw some leak thats says black swan and kafka rerun will happen in 2.5)
@@Chris-qh5tz technically jiaoqiu is a 5star hybrid version of Guinaifen & Pela, mainly he's an all-rounder debuffer but luckily the Devs finally added the DoT on his kit

That is indeed soup! The whole quirk about jiaoqiu is him cooking his opponent in hotpot! In the lore, since jiaoqiu specializes in medicine he utilized spiciness as a form of weapon as it brings pain to others. Very silly background but I enjoy it a lot.
His trailer also revealed that he even fights to procure the ingredients as he killed borisin and turned them into the food Bailu and Sushang were eating
My favs are Black Swan and Aventurine. I loved Black Swan at first sight in that early days trailer and fell in love Aventurine’s character over time after really distrusting him at first. I think he’s the best developed character they’ve done so far.
I rarely do top 3's of characters because my affectionate heart can't stand the thought of picking faves when I love most of the cast. I do have a bit of a soft spot for male characters tho, so I'll just pick my top 3 male and female characters in seperate categories to make it more fair: Top 3 males: 1. Moze - We haven't seen much of him as of 2.4 but I already fell for his sombre and mysterious vibes, his very detailed design and his silly bantering around other characters that are closest to him. Kaveh's Eng VA is voicing him too so that's a huge W in my book (His take on Moze's voice makes my spine fold). 2. Dan Heng - You can probably notice at this point that I have a type (and you're not wrong). His dynamic with the Express Crew is very heartwarming to see. He deserves the world to me after being tortured by his past guilt for so long. 3. Jing Yuan - He was my first limited 5* and tbh he's the sole reason I decided to play Star Rail on day 1. He'd probably be much higher on this list if Moze suddenly didn't appear to steal my heart. The "Reinforcements" line still lives in my head rent free. Pop off king 👑. Honorable Mention: Boothill - His design immediately sold me since it reminded me of an Ace Attorney character in a cyber cowboy version (Simon Blacquill to be exact). I had to sacrifice Robin to pull him and his LC (very luckily) but it was worth the effort since he's one of my best DPS's now 🖤🤍. Top 3 females: 1. Silver Wolf - Annnnd here's my second reason for playing Star Rail on launch. I became obsessed with her gamer girl aesthetic and sassy demeanor to the point I made my first ever major spending session after losing my 50/50 on her very first banner. After that I got her LC in 1.5 which maybe wasn't the best choice futureproof-wise but I have no regrets
One thing I think a lot of people are missing is that Kafka proc's other people's DoT. His E2 is the second highest DoT in the entire game, rivaled only by Black Swan. So with Kafka his DoT alone provides insane value at E2, and his E1 buffs and ashen roast is still an even bigger part of his kit. But even just his DoT literally provides more to the DoT team than Sampo's entire kit - that's nuts. I think people should absolutely pull his E0 now and potentially if DoT re-enters the meta and he's fallen off a bit his E2 will easily bring him back.
Top 3 HSR: Boothill(space cowboys are sick), Fu Xuan(first character I fell in love with aka using her in every team). And Arlan because. Well, hes trying his best.
It's really hard to pick a top 3 because I like a lot of the characters but if I have to choose, Svarog, Screwllum and Seele are definitely up there for me. Also the freeze PTSD is real.
My top 3 units go for Yunli, Firefly and Yukong. For Yunli- I just find her counter playstyle really rewarding since it's not just about using the counter, it's also when to use it and which enemy you want to taunt as well. For Firefly- I just really like her character so the fact she's awesome gameplay wise is even better. Lastly, for Yukong- I also like her character but to me the fact you can build her pretty flexibly is another thing I like about her since she can do some really great damage, another thing is knowing when to use her skill as well.
I have to say My Favourite Chracters are : The one and only , The knight of Beauty Argenti (with old voice) , Pela the one with 2 ages and Hook cause she was my first e6 and carried me for long :D Thank you for reading , i wish all a wonderfull day
My 3 favorite characters: Acheron, Sparkle and Jiaoqiu Love them all but I’m a huge Acheron fan, love everything about her design and gameplay just a perfect character to me
7:29 Minor comment but, I also think Resolution Shines isn't a terrible option for her either IF she's in a triple DPS team (which isn't common now but will be as we get more DoT units in the future) because her personal damage will be a smaller portion of the team's damage. It's especially useful in teams with Acheron because her Skill (or Basic ATK if you have to use it) will inflict debuffs too which means more Acheron stacks. It's worth noting that DEF shred/ignore scales better the more of it you have, and DoT teams innately have some DoT ignore effects; Black Swan's Skill, Black Swan's Arcana at 7 stacks (which only affects her, but should still be beneficial), and the 4pc-Prisoner set. This isn't super relevant to the video (since in this team it would make more sense to give Resolution Shines to Jiaoqiu), just something I wanted to note.
This is the news i was hoping for. I think this unit is going to be incredible. QQ, Fu Xuan and Hanya. that team works really good add in imaginary march 7th and a lot of damage ensues..
This is good. But do you know what's bad though? JQ will arrive next week, and BS and Kafka will be in the rerun banner in 2.5, together with the debut of Fei 🙂
and i somehow manage to get both kafka and black swan the game really support my kafka swan or kafka team in general cause i had guinaifen and luka next up is to invest in a harmony or abundance unit (currently using Bronya and Natasha)
My top 3 favorite characters(in terms of personality and lore) 1. March 7th 2. Yunli 3. Kafka March has lore that I find very intriguing and her EN voice acting is so good. She has been my favorite since day 1. Yunli stole my heart recently with her and Yanqing having a rivalry. He is in my top 5. Both felt complex in their emotions in the EN voice acting. Kafka. Need I say more? Amazing voice acting. Amazing outfit that entirely fits her vibe. Amazing thematic personality. Just an amazing character. If I had to pick a top 5 I would have Herta and Yanqing there. We all love Herta. Yanqing while being annoying to pull has a great character too. The voice acting pulled me in and captured the feeling of a wise but still niave child.

Boothill because I’m a southern girl that loves cyborgs. Yunli because she’s super cute and feisty and I love her that her mechanics actually need timing. And Acheron, because there’s something wrong with me and I love Mei and every game she’s in.
My top favorites for HSR are probably Stelle, Acheron, and Firefly.. or maybe I’m on my Penacony high but I still love those 3 Another amazing video, can never get over how cute all the characters outfits are for your avatar :D
Gallagher, Misha, and Aventurine are in my top 3, with Aventurine being number one. The fact that he was Camden Sutkowski's first voice acting role and he did so well will forever floor me.
I have E2S1 JQ, so so much fun to play DOT team along with Ruan mei E2S1, Kafka E0S1 But sustain i use Aventurine E2S1 I wish there will be "sustain-dot" unit in the future :))
WHAT?! I’ve been playing this game for 6 months and went through all content. I’ve never been frozen by the enemy in a battle, I didn’t know they could even do that. This surprised me so much 😭…
I really like Firefly, Aventurine and Acheron. They have such traumatic back stories and, because my wife deals with extreme trauma, I feel very connected to their characters.
My favorite characters to use would be Firefly, Kafka and Acheron. Try Gepard with trend of universal light equipped placed in the middle of team cause he has taunt to trigger more enemy attacks on him with Archeron Jiaoqiu, and Pela. That team should generate debuff stacks quickest for Archeron.
Misha yangqing and topaz Yangqing was my first real dps and holds a special place in my heart misha is my favorite 4 star ever cause of the luggage ult full with stones and topaz ...well NUMBY obviously😊
Top 3? hmmmm....Black Swan, even though I have no premium team for her, Robin, and Sparkle. All 3 love at first sight! I hope they release more DoT damage DPS combos because I really don't care for Kafka tbh, ty 4 the vid!
Tough choices for favorites... Okay ill just go with personalities, Lynx for being a tad to relatable in mood. Dr.Ratio for he just a fun charaxter to love... Also he throws chalk... The Raccoon that is the trailblazer. Oh and Seele, she got a scythe and always has been ol reliable.. and still attacking strong... When i win the coin flip for Crits anyways -_-
I would say my favorite characters are Acheron, Firefly and probably march or himeko. Please, if you can, try jiaoqiu with acheron and black swan as a comparison to acheron, black swan and kafka!!!
My top 3 are probably Acheron cus she basically carried my account but also because I always get all the Raiden Mei expys no matter what, Aventurine cus im incredibly attached with Kakavasha and also cus he came home early, and probably Gallagher cus I love crusty old looking men

I have a track record of loving this character type (the ambitious, chivalrous, eccentric type), so I loved this guy on first impression in his quest. 2nd is Boothill, he's the reason I downloaded the game. 3rd changes a lot, so for now I'll say Ratio.
Do buff to burst damage effect the damage of the dots Kafka detonates?? I tried to get a achievement for defeating an enemy with a burst once and it didn’t count when I used Kafka’s burst since they technically were taken out by the dot damage of her detonation
My top 3 Aventurine - bloke changed my account for the better. He made my follow up team better than ever. Fu xuan- tho I dont use her anymore, this short queen helped me clear swarm disaster and GnG. She kept my teams alive before aventurine came out. Firefly - Girl's just busted. There's no endgame mode that she won't be useful. Just hope she will stop screaming at me with every skill use
I’ve been using jiaoqiu and Kafka with sampo cause I don’t have black swan and they work fine. Definitely not as good compared to with black swan but they work just fine since sampo does his job of applying shear and that’s all that’s rlly needed to trigger the dot’s. Black swan only speeds up the process cause her kit is tailored around it but she’s not necessary for the team to function, she just improves it
