i NEED help so much in this game i am not that good

the freeze might not be working because of how AOE might work. My theory is that from the center of an explosion, a ray cast is done to any potential hits. If nothing is between that raycast and the hit, then the AOE goes through. If something is between the raycast and the hit, like a wall, then the aoe doesn't connect. a raycast can be though of as an imaginary laser.
