Using a team that was used in Worlds is a nice interesting experiment! The format is very different! One can see am know from 6 one gets 3 but in GBL it is a Wild West if one don’t have the alignment hard to win!

PokeAK's analysis is spot on. Most players average about a 50% win rate over all. Niantic lies to the customers (I have spent a LOT I am a customer!) claiming there is no algorithm. Huge lie. The win rates for these top players are all in the 80%+ and many well into the 90% range. There is a matching algorithm which clearly takes into account both the moves of the pokemon as well as the current recent win count. If you get a 5-0 win, you will find hard counters making it impossible to win and this often extends for two sets following before you get a break. The only way to escape this algorithm is to jump ahead so fast from the very start so that your peer (ELO) set is very limited or that certain players are specifically favored by the game algorithms. PokeAK did make it to one of the first GBL tournament matches and almost won but they kept "restarting" the matches he won. They did NOT want him to win and they ensured that he wouldn't. But Niantic betrays itself further. For tournament play, they set rules "present 6 play three" which is more fair. Niantic refuses to do this for regular game play and it would be trivial to do so. GBL is a rigged mess and Niantic needs to be called out for that.

@@mrgiraffe1577 Not in the slightest. When Niantic made their statement, they were specific in saying "there is no algorithm matching pokemon." That may be true. It is the MOVES which determine matching. You can test this by selecting pokemon using all non-stab moves and watch what happens.

@@MisaelMatute76 People had been begging for PvP forever. But once they made the GBL competitive where one player would lose and the other win (or both players lose in a tie) then in the world of humans, all of the worst qualities come out because losing means not winning. All those beta players who don't care of they win or lose should have a separate league. I have too many thoughts on the matter. For example, if someone makes rank, they should never be matched against anything more than one level below theirs. So "Legend" should never be matched against "Ace." This causes a LOT of people to never level up beyond a certain point because especially lately, everyones' ELO is dropping down to about 2500 or less including a LOT of people who have gotten to Legend. THIS more than anything else is preventing people from getting up in level. But again, this is players taking other players down. Frankly the only way to make it fair is to "Show-6-Play-3" just as they do in their own tournaments and match exclusively on rank/ELO.

bro niantic cant even program gbl right. you really think they have an algorithm that takes pokemon, moves, win streak into account. thats insane. why in the world would they do that? you know why gbl is always full of bugs, lacks and exploits? because niantic makes a fraction of the money they do with raids and items in the shop. they couldnt care less about the gbl. bringing back mewtwo into raids literally makes them a million times more money than a perfectly working gbl.

this whole game is all about luck in the first place, of course you need to do the right decisions and plan when to attack and which attacks to use but theres not even a chance if the other team is stronger than mine to begin with, so its a 50/50 thing, even the final championships battle was kind of 50/50ish, so probably if there would have been another round Godanhada would have won again

But seriously, if GodanHada didn't make such a crucial mistake, he MAYBE could have taken game 2. And who knows? But hey, rules are rules. I guess people can argue that at the highest level, you own up to your mistakes, and one could say that GodanHada crumbled under the pressure or wasn't fully focused? But seriously, if you're at that level you're probably gonna have like 4000+ Pokemons and maybe 20+ registeels, you can lose track sometimes 🤷 sorry for the rant. I guess I just wanted a clean win and not a win because of 1 round forfeit 😅
