I never used explosive ammo on wasps because I disliked the -40% attack. Clearly ShotgunCrocodile proved me wrong.

I play aggro a lot and also always put a unit of chaff way off on the far side. It helps guard if they flank and in some cases they can actually come in and take the other tower if your opponent's units get pulled to the center

Had some games against Wasp the last two days. More than usual, made me wonder if they got a buff I wasn’t aware of. Won the games using Aerial Mustangs, but no one used this strategy. I like Wasps so seeing them work is fun.

I imagine power shot arclights and some mustangs would handle this combo pretty well. Getting the formation to engage at the right timing might be a little difficult given the speed differences though. Maybe add in some fangs or crawlers to draw the crawlers and balls closer together for better aoe potential.

I have been playing carry wasps last few days, didn't think to pair them with balls though. I managed to clime from 500mmr to 1000 in 2 days though with wasps.

Few scorpions (if game was after patch) and arcs is something I would do. No shield on wasps they all will be one shot. Innovative use of aoe on wasps.

I used to do this a lot; it's strong and fun, but it's deff a meme build. Fortress with anti-air destroys this. As soon as you see that, you need to pivot asap.

I havent had an issue with Fort with anti air, my wasps are level 4-5 they dont get 1 shot and the forts get melted

@@joshualukereynolds I didn't want to reply from memory, so I tried this in the sandbox, and it isn't true; they pretty much get oneshot. Unless you have shields, but then the air barrage is a 10 second cooldown, and multiple fortresses just reduce the chances for the wasps. If you want, we can set up a friendly match and show you how it's a hard counter.

@@xCoNa14 Just loaded up the toolbox, I can confirm that a level 1 fort does only a few kills to 1 squad of level 3 wasps and gets melted. More importantly is that any build can be countered, its about having to deal with it in game when you dont know its coming, my forts dont even run anti missile as its crap. Forts get melted by the steelballs as well.

@@joshualukereynolds Please don't tell me you only put a fortress and pack of wasps in isolation... If you put in the other units like a normal match, the Fortresses win. I tested it extensively. Even with both teched.

According to @idlecub the tower EMP does not stack, only the time gets added up. So not more damage taken, but you get tow times nine seconds. (don't nail me down on the nine seconds)

I think a few wraiths with degen beam with backup mustangs could probably derail the strategy.

Just wraiths with reach and more cannons. And spam them, because they are good vs balls and the wasp's, just some fangs with shield and rage.

Fortress with Air upgrade early shut this down very hard, and, you deal with the Steelball with Emp or Degenerate Aura, anything that cripple them.

Fortress will 1 shot them. Cant emp them if they are already dead.

that why emp is good, slow them and disactivate all the shit@@redgaarden8101 because you know, sometime steelball can beat fortress very easy if fort only have fang support. By having emp on your side, it assure that your fort survive.
