Accepting challenge is the cornerstone of Jessica & Drew's relationship.
It all began with a connection through Bumble in 2017. Jessica was finishing her final year of college with a focus on teaching. Drew was contemplating a change in his career that would send him back home to the Bay Area.
Both embarked on their first date with nervousness and hesitation. By the end of the night, the nerves were wiped away. Jessica couldn't wait to tell her friends how giddy she was after their first date. Drew was quick to express his desire to make a long-distance relationship work.
Jessica grew to love Drew's determination to succeed in life, his weird and silly sense of humor that acts as a second language, and his constant desire to keep learning and growing. Drew was drawn to Jessica's deep-rooted empathy for people, the unselfish motherly instincts that drove her as a teacher, and her playful goofiness. Together they loved diving right into the joy of everyday experiences. Shopping at Costco. Enjoying a late-night burger at In-N-Out. Sharing each's others day from work.
Over the following three years, Jessica and Drew endured several abrupt life changes. Drew lost his grandma and his mother's best friend within a couple months of their first date. Jessica worked as a unpaid student teacher for months until she found a new job. And like many others, the COVID-19 pandemic threw their lives a hard left turn. But through each challenge, each change that life through at them, they found home in each other.
They finally embarked on a new adventure as husband and wife with an intimate zoom ceremony in February 2021. A year later, they followed it up with a beautiful celebration in July 2022. Enjoy watching this wonderful story of love that started at an airbnb in Palm Springs and ended at Serendipity Gardens in Oak Glen, CA!
