hi there, congrats on getting a Gti as well. I'm currently running on a set of GAB Hi Lo Bodyshift Coilovers. I set a ride height with a 2 finger gap between the wheel arch front and back. To be honest, I'm not sure what the spring rate is, but I played around with the spring compression to find a good balance between handling and comfort. I had to go with minimum compression especially on the rear to prevent a harsh ride. In the future, I'd probably choose a set of coilovers which allows tuning the dampers to go hard or soft.

i think those around the RM25k range would still need a little bit of repair work to get it in tip top condition. if you are looking for a properly restored unit, then I'd say RM30-35k is reasonable. There are some not so good condition going for RM18-20k. But in my experience, you'd need to spend in the range of RM10-15k to restore one.

@@rumbling3991 yes it is if you are looking for a really good condition unit. There are those below RM20k but you'd need to do quite a lot of restoration

i was actually considering an R3, but couldnt find a nice unit. If i do find one with a reasonable price, i might actually consider it as well.

@@infernoelise i want an r3 so badly but we dont have them here in austraila and there not legal to import so il never have 1 but on the bright side i have 2 proton gtis 1 i have owned for a year and 1 i found sitting for 3 years which iv saved.
