Doc certainly knows his shit. The wiring uses vol/tone/blend... In position 1 ( bridge) the blend knob adds the neck pickup. Position 2 ( bridge and middle) it again adds the neck. In position 3 ( middle) it does nothing. In position 4 ( middle and neck ) it adds the bridge… In position 5 ( neck) it again adds the bridge. His own suggestion. I love them.
Awesome job! It sounds beautiful! Comfortably Numb still sends shivers down my spine, 40 years after the first time I heard it. Dave at his absolute best!! The Wall grabbed me and never let go....
I stumbled upon your channel at the beginning of this build and have enjoyed watching the build. As far as people criticizing how you are doing things, screw them‼️ If they are so f’ing smart why don’t they have their own channel? You just keep on doing what you’re doing. Cheers mate 👍✌️☮️
Paul I've gotta say i only discovered your channel last week & ive been binge watching your back catalogue of videos & im totally loving it.❤️👍 I stopped playing years ago due to hand injuries but I've always done my own tec work in the past so after watching hundreds of channels around the RU-vid world of luthiers & builders i started to have a go myself, the one thing that truly inspires me about watching you create your builds is the fun you have in the process, yeah we know it has to get technical & serious at times but your fuck it approach creases me & for that element alone you go straight to the top of the notification pile 👍 Living life is loving life & all that it brings .❤ Keep em coming coz ill be watching 👍 PS, i wish the mrs hadn't locked me out of eBay because that guitar is something special 🤘
Hi Paul, this turned out amazing!! You did a spectacular job, very nice. Loved this series and I am so looking forward to the next one. You have a great attitude towards haters, keep doing what you do!!
Best channel on the RU-vids! You sir are a very talented luthier and wood whisperer. If I ever come into some money I'm coming your way for a custom build... Looking forward to the Chris Buck review!
No words…I’m gobsmacked!!! It’s an amazing build 👍 Gilmour has always been my guitar hero since I saw him in ‘74 when I was a teen - I think he’d be impressed. Keep up the builds and keep making us laugh - don’t listen to the moaners who love to hate anything and everything!!! Looking forward to seeing your next project…
That’s a cracking tribute to gilmour , ignore any simps that trash it mate, keep doing you , and to give that guitar away just shows your class and what kind of decent man you are, and as for the playing, mr gilmour himself would give that a thumbs up, brilliant channel mr Richard’s
My wife bought me a Black Fender Strat for my 30th birthday and since I have no imagination I ended up Gilmourizing it, hard to pass up that classic look. This build was insanely fun to watch so thankfully RU-vid actually recommended something interesting for once, looking forward to catching up with the rest of the channel.
Hi Paul. I think the end result looks fantastic. I'm only sorry that this build has come to an end (as all good things should). I'm looking forward to your next series. Keep up the great work and entertainment. You will hit 10k on subs in no time. Bravo.
Great videos mate and a great finnish, this series has made me start to build my first guitar 😅 couldn't think of a better way to spend my time. Cheers for the great videos again keep them coming
THE best up and coming (ooo’er) RU-vid channel on the platform right now. Learning the art of guitar making whilst being funny as fuck in a woke free zone - killer combo. Keep’ em coming Paul… onto the next 👏
You are a legend 😃😃😃 one day I will own one of your guitars - whilst i can still play - sadly in stage one Parkinson’s - guitar playing helps with the condition
To all those who said you got it wrong I say bollocks. Gilmours strat underwent so many changes in its life, it was a Frankenstein guitar. It had loads of parts nicked off it when it when on display in a Hard Rock Cafe. So who knows what it should be like and what’s right or wrong
I've been working on my copy of Black Strat for years (you can see it in my photo)... Gilmour is the reason I started playing, he's my teacher... having said that: sorry but I'm left-handed!😫
you DID get the truss ross wrong. yes there is a walnut cap there but there is no hole of access to the truss rod at the top of the neck it's at the bottom. that is how all vintage 50s-60s strat necks are until the 70s... same with the reissues
It doesn’t shine on like a crazy diamond!Didn’t cost alot of “money”! Didn’t take a lot of “time” to make But I would love to play a great gig on the sky with it one of these days with my band and sit back and have a cigar. Amazing build fella. And good on you for giving this away. I have high hopes it will go to a loving home.
Im in france but before you send the guitar, maybe you should loan it to the British Museum ? I hear they've got a great track record of holding onto things for a few centuries… at least until a Frenchman manages to bring it back... this should get the odds in my favor.
@@Milehousestudios Well, at least they're consistent! 😄 Sounds like your guitar would be right at home with all those 'borrowed' artifacts. But don't worry, I'll make sure it finds a good spot here in France - no museum involved (yet)
Free guitar, I better fucking say something funny. I want the guitar cos I ve just snapped the string on my one string banjo watching some bird only fans😮
@@Milehousestudios I've known Chris buck for a while, well before he became an international guitar god, speaking to him last Friday after the cardinal back gig in Brum, truly humble and genuine guy.
Are you sure that after the conversions of Tea & Royalty measures to Apple Pie & Corrupt Government measures that you this guitar will work without an accent across the pond?
@@Milehousestudios I'm here to help as needed. LOL Loved this series. It was the first I watched from you and am hooked now. Gonna start watching the Paisley guitar series next week.
Brilliant series and guitar! Gilmour is my most favorite musician. It would be an honor to own and play this guitar. I live across the pond and would donate the shipping fee to the charity of your choice if I were to be selected as the new owner.
