after buying almost 5 pairs of iems in 2k price range, the tangzu wan 'er finally suited my sound taste. and also for an iem, the mic quality is surprisingly good.
Great video, Paul. I recently got the KZ ZSN Pro 2, and I'm really enjoying its sound signature (especially for RnB and rap/hip-hop). Unfortunately, I need to send them in for a warranty claim, so I'm considering getting a new pair in the meantime. So, I’m turning to you for advice once again: should I go for these or the Moondrop Chu 2?
I can't really say anything about the Chu2 since I haven't reviewed it just yet, but I know I've always really liked the Tangzu Wan'er. I did review the Chu first gen and found it to be a little too bright for my taste.
Would love to know how these compare against the original Salnotes Zero. Also, there are two other IEMs in the same segment - the Tangzu Wan'er Studio Edition and the Truthear Gate.
hey good video with good explanation. can you pls suggest this headphone zone x tangzu waner sg iem ? i need everything balanced and smooth but A BIT BASS DOMINATION. and also are these better than my 2k realme tws ? also any other alternatives under 2500 for smooth , balanced a extra bass? pls reply, you will help me a lot for choosing my first iem
Whether these are better than your realme TWS or not is something you'll have to sit and test to decide for yourself. I find IEMs to be superior in clarity for certain, bass wise, they will not be big and bloated like wireless earphones. The lower frequencies will be tighter and better defined instead. I really like these Tangzu's. The others I like are the KZ ZSN ProX, I think you might appreciate it for its bass and detail, and then the FiiO JD1 is also a good performer. It's heavy in the bass and has good sparkle in the highs too. Feel free to give my reviews on these a look if you'd like to.
@@PaulsPOV thank you very much for the kind reply. I'll watch all your reviews and finally ask you once for the right choice with my preference of music. Thankyou
Hi Paul, long back when I was bugging you about some neckbands and tws you suggested getting one of these IEMs, but at that time I thought the price was prohibitive but now, I feel like taking the plunge and since this will be my first, I am really wanting to buy this wan'er SG. But in many places in the comments and in your other reviews you talk a lot about transparency or the lack of it, so my question is, if my primary source is just Spotify from my old Xiaomi phone, will these turn out rather unimpressive compared to my neck bands. I have 2 realmes and one oppo enco2, I like the oppo more. The Spotify songs on the realmes are very very bland. I listen to a lot of 80s, 90s pop and pink Floyd and some heavy metal at times. So please tell me if is it worth buying any iem if my source is Spotify or other old mpeg files and if so will the SG suit me and if not which other stuff which will forgive the compressed formats. My best wired experience so far has been JBL c100, and now these neckbands. Sorry about the long question but you are the guru in this subject 😎
I'd say try the KZ ZSN ProX. They're not as transparent, so they are forgiving with older recordings and compression. If or when you decide to dive deeper into the hobby, you can always pick up a good dongle DAC amp and better IEMs as well. But since you lean more towards how your oppo is tuned, I'd say you'll prefer more detail, so when you want to, Apple Music is a great way to get access to Hi-Res audio easily. I use it for a lot of my testing, and it works well.
@@PaulsPOV thanks a lot for your reply. I checked your fiio jd1 video and asked the same question there. If Spotify is my usual source, then will these IEMs do any more justice to them than the wired ear buds or neckbands
@@PaulsPOV I guessed as much but I have to buy one to really find out. You have access to many IEMs, perhaps you can try them with Spotify and compare. I will buy the wan'er SG mostly as it is not as transparent and is a bit more rounded across frequencies from what I've gathered. Thanks for the reply though. I have to take the plunge eventually. These Bluetooth things while adding convenience have really eroded the quality of music over a period of time.
The Tangzu is more transparent than something like the KZ ZSN ProX. I can tell when a track has compression with it which is impressive for a set of IEMs in the price range it exists. If you haven't been exposed to Hi-Res audio, I don't think it'll be a problem for you. Try it and see if you like it or not. Post that, you always have the option of picking up a good dongle dac amp and an Apple Music subscription.
Great video, I am coming from oppo air 2 pro...will this be good? How is the Bass compatibility. I know you have used air 2 pro so you can help me with the full picture.
I prefer IEMs over anything wireless for the simple reason that they detail more naturally. The bass from them won't be bloated like they are on tws earphones. It'll be a tighter presentation. If you're getting into the IEM world, you may not want to go back to wireless stuff.
I have both, yet I prefer Air 2 pro. The vocals are very melodic, the bass is better n the comfort too.. tangzu has thinner soundstage, it has clear audio but it hurt my ears after some time... Maybe cuz I'm sensitive to high frequencies or it's just the fit of it..
@@ashuchan69yearsago92 oh ..I was really looking forward to upgrading my air 2 pro .. after a year the battery gave up .. I am not going to spend money anymore on tws as they aren't reliable..but I loved the sound and tight bass from it.🥲. Do you happen to know any iem around 2k that can at least match it?
Hey man, just got these and is it normal for them to have lower volume than the OG black ones without mic? I assume it's because of the mic? Is that a thing?
Spec wise, they shouldn't sound different even when it comes to their volume because they've got the same resistance and components. But this one with a separate wire to the mic could be causing a little more resistance, possibly. So either you've got super sensitive ears to detect this, or there's something up with your cable. Do you have a set to compare these with?
The FiiO JD1 and KZ ZSN ProX are great beginner IEMs. I do like the Tangzu Wan'er, but I'd say it's suited more for someone who's been in the hobby for a while. Feel free to give my reviews on these a look if you haven't already.
"Best" would be a matter of preference, but my favorite ones in this price range are the KZ ZSN ProX, these Tangzu Wan'ers, Blon BL03, and the FiiO JD1. If you're into EQing your IEMs, the most dynamic ones might be the JD1 from this lot, but the most transparent for equipment is the Tangzu. I've had the most fun with my music with the KZ ZSN ProX.
Can you EarFun Air Pro 4 as i seriously want to buy these sets of earbuds aslo i saw you air 3 pro video just want to know if there is any upgrade over 3 pro
I like richer, more full-bodied vocal presentation with good details and instrument separation. Iam Not a bass lover. please suggest me an iem that suits my choice.
Buddy,i am planning to buy an iem for the first time and love hearing instrumental music and a watch movies as well. What should i buy if i go for an iem under 2k
Some of my favorites ate the Tangzu Wan'er, FiiO JD1, Blon BL03 and KZ ZSN ProX. All great value for money with different flavours in sound. I break them down in all my reviews.
I have 2k budget, and can extend it to 3k. I mostly love listening to Bollywood melodies and sometimes bass heavy songs, should I go for this or chu 2 ? Or any other suggestions? And what about buds air 6 pro/encho air 3 pro o। Terms pf sound quality ? Iem better than those tws ?
I find IEMs to be much richer in detail compared to TWS earphones. There are very few TWS earphones that come close to IEMs in terms of truness and detail. I quite like how the Tangzu Wan'er, FiiO JD1, and KZ ZSN ProX perform. The JD1 and ProX might be better suited to the genre of music you listen to. Keep in mind that IEMs don't give you a bloated bass like TWS earphones do. It'll be tighter and better structured instead.
got my soundcore q20i today and i am not satisfied with these.. so like bro could you recommend some good sounding headphone under 6k like i've used some some iems it seems i can't get over their sound quality. wired ones will work but my priority is wireless ones
brother i am confused between TANGZU WAN'ER S.G and KZ CASTOR Harman Target with Improved Bass , i like bass but i want a overall good performing iem because i listen to every type of song , which one should i buy ??
Hi, i am confused between KZ ZSN pro X, KZ ZSN Pro 2 & Tangzu Wan'er SG. I prefer clarity of vocals and instrumentation with good base but not very bassy. Which one should i go for ? I had already returned KZ ZSN Pro 2 because of manufacturing defect. I am noob when it comes to iem😅
I'd say the FiiO JD1 should suit your taste. I do like the KZ ZSN ProX a lot, but KZ is known to have a lot of build issues. I do also quite like the Tangzu Wan'er, but it's not as kick happy in the bass as the FiiO. Feel free to give my review a look if you haven't already.
@@PaulsPOV Thanks alot for your expertised opinion 🙏 Will try FIIO JD 1 this time. Should I go with the 3.5mm jack or type c version? Because I don't have any DAC/AMP
@@PaulsPOV Unfortunately they are out of stock and will be restock in October. So, now KZ ZSN Pro X, Tangzu Wane'r SG, 7hz Salnotes 2 or any other recommendation for under ₹2000 ?
I haven't tested the EDX pro so I'm not sure how it'll hold up against some IEMs I like. But if you're considering picking up a set of Simgot IEMs, have a look at my review on the EW200. I really like those. It's a little over your budget, but worth every bit.
I've heard of some complaints regarding the very mediocre technicalities on these, what do you think? Im willing to slightly increase my budget if it means better soundstage and resolution, any suggestions?
For the price, I find these to be good. The other IEMs here tend to have aggressive tweaks in the highs and upper mids to give the illusion of better detail recovery but only end up causing ear fatigue over longer listening sessions. Then again, each person has their own experiences. But yea, I quite like this set, also because of how transparent it is. It tends to be even more detailed when I connect it to my desk set up. Most IEMs in this price range aren't so transparent with equipment.
@@PaulsPOV I see, thanks for the prompt response. Also, would love your take on the kz castor. Kinda on the fence between the waner and the castor rn, would make a final decision if you could put out your thoughts on the castor!
I haven't reviewed it yet, and it's not in my lineup of reviews right now. Consider connecting with the guys at headphonezone. They usually guide people with issues like this as well.
@@PaulsPOV I want to listen to some music on Apple Music: specially Rock, Blues, Jazz!! And also wants to use as guitar monitors, which one should I get?
If you need them for monitors more, a flatter response is always better, in that case, the Pro2 over the ProX. But I do really like the Wan'er. It's not shrill in the upper mids and highs. It's a much truer sounding IEM than what I've heard from KZ and it details well without a high and upper mid accentuation that a few manufacturers are doing. But honestly, mostly everything in this price range is great for the price, everything's got It's own flavour.
Sound quality wise, I'd go for the JBL for sure. Call quality wise, give my reviews of them a look in the call chapter. See which one you prefer for your recipient.
I haven't done any A-B testing with them but I have preferred the Tangzu for a long time. The 7Hz didn't wow me as much as the Tangzu but it is more bass prominent for sure.
Truthear Gate vs Headphoneszone × Tangzu Warn'er vs Moondrop chu 2 dsp Which one better for 1.Movies, 2.online class, 3.Music , 4.calling ? I have Realme 9 pro plus, Realme Pad mini and Apple iPod Air 5. And What about Fiio jd1 dsp! Please Suggest me better iem Budget is ₹2300
I wouldn't say it's the best for gaming because you'd need some more richness in the upper mids to hear approaching footsteps etc for FPS gaming. Have a look at my review on the FiiO JD1 if you'd like to. It would be better suited for gaming than this.
It has to do a lot with personal opinions and preferences. But IEMs usually carry a lot more detail than wireless earphones. I prefer these with my music over the realme.
It's a matter of preference and many other factors. For one, the JBL can only support up to 990kbps, so if you have a high-resolution source that is playing at 2-5mbps, these IEMs can handle that quite easily, the JBL can't. This means the IEMs will certainly carry more information to you than the JBL ever can. If you don't listen to a Hi-Res source, the JBL can be more fun to listen to because it's tuned to he fun sounding and not analytical. Plus, these IEMs are relatively transparent so won't sound great with compressed audio.
Sir can i go for headphonezone edition??..is both same ..??... reply sir....i love to buy waner..but this waner looks and packs good..so is the driver same for sure if any slight change is there.. please tell sir. Thankyou❤
The only difference between the original Wan'er and this is cosmetic. Internal components and the tuning remain the same. So it only depends on what look you want to buy.
@@PaulsPOV okay sir...sir this waner is good as chu 2?..what does chu 2 offer more..or should i go for anything else how is sound clarity and sound staging, spacious..good for pop(male, female).hiphop..clarity ,movies?
I haven't tested the Chu2 just yet, so I wouldn't want to give you any wrong information about it. But I've found myself prefer the Tangzu more for more acoustic music than anything else. The Fiio JD1 would be better suited for pop music and movies. Feel free to give my review on it a look if you'd like to.
I received the product but while hearing music . It will automatically working like volumes reduce song skip those type of inappropriate things happen. Can you help me with this ?
If you mean wireless stuff, I don't think you'll find one that handles detail as well as IEMs do in that price range. But two sets I feel come close to how IEMs sound are the Lypertek Pureplay Z3 and the Yamaha TW-E3B. I've got a comparison between them. Both great sets on a sound front.
How was you gaming experience, i heard that tangzu waner is not good with footsteps direction amd other in games like pubg and cod, i was gonna order these but this is what pulling me back, I don't play much games but only during leasure times, can you please share your review/experience?
For gaming and hearing footsteps you'll need something with an elevation in the highs and upper mids. Have a look at my review on the FiiO JD1. That has this elevation you'll need for gaming.
Between these three, I quite like the oppo, but the realme might be better suited for you -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N3d5nkWvBVA.html
I found the ZEX to be a little too bright for my taste. I prefer the ZSN ProX. The tangzu is great for music but is more on the warmer side of presentation so won't highlight certain things while gaming. Consider giving my review on the FiiO JD1 a look. It's a good set for gaming and music and has that highlight for hearing elements in games.
I haven't done any A-B testing between these two IEMs, but I do remember the BL03 being a lot warmer sounding than these. Nice bass response, too, but I've heard a few people say their cable packs up in a few months.
I have yet to review the gate. I prefer the ZSN ProX for heavier genres of music. They are a lot of fun to listen to. I'd pair this with more intricate music. Classical, jazz, blues etc. It handles itself very well with these. I'd goto the ZSN ProX for a little more of a kick in the bass.
I need an IEM for listening to EDM snd Hip Hop/Rap. Earlier I was planning for Blon but im ensure about them now. Is this the one to go for ? Or are there better alternatives in this budget. Also it would be better if the recommeded IEM could help me with mixing songs as a DJ. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi @Paul I am debating between Wanér, Zero2 and BL03 in the 2k range... and Z300 and EW200 on the 3-4k range. Library is largely old rock and country (analogue music/sound). What will you recommend. I am leaning towards BL03
I haven't tested the Zero2 and Z300 sadly, and as much as I love the EW200, I'd say it doesn't have enough kick for the music you listen to. The Wan'er is a great set to consider, and so is the Blon BL03. The only issue I've heard with the Blon is that the cable gives way quickly, but you can always pick up a better one. The FiiO JD1 might also be a good option to consider actually. Good heft in the lows for old rock music. Tangzu vs FiiO review coming out on Monday in case you want to wait for it.
I've mainly tested a lot of IEMs in the 2K price bracket, great stuff there. Some of my favorites are these Tangzu Wan'ers, KZ ZSN ProX, FiiO JD1, and the Blon BL03 is also nice. Feel free to give my reviews on these a look if you'd like to.
I'd say I have medium sized ears and these are comfortable. I hope someone who has these IEMs and small ears can chime in and give you their experience.
@@PaulsPOV is IEM have better sound staging?please suggest such IEM under 2k. Otherwise, please suggest decent Sound staging IEM with considering budget 2k to 10k?
Have a look at my reviews on the Simgot EW200, Kefine Delci, Simgot EA500 LM and Simgot EM6L. All are great performers. If you can stretch your budget a bit more, have a look at my review on the Simgot SuperMix 4. It's been making waves in the community apparently. Terrific value for money.
Please Review the Moondrop Chu 2 and Compare with the other IEMs in 1500-2000k segment. Your videos are really good with satisfying information. I think it will greatly help to satisfy my decisions.
@@PaulsPOV I have a confusion..May u be able to reply to me. I was using the MoonDrop Chu 2 3.5mm jack version but the cable broke. So should I buy a new pair or IEMs (3.5mm or the DSP version) or just buy a cable. My next purchase will be somewhat decided from your upcoming video..❤️
@@ItzAzurexif you like the chu 2 then buy a new cable🤷♂️. Or you want to try a new iem then buy a new one and you can use its wires for both chu 2 and new iem.
It would be an interesting comparison. I've heard the Pro 2 briefly at a Headphone Connect event and did some A-B testing with the ProX and found that I prefer the ProX over the Pro2. But I'd have to do some A-B testing to know for certain how different it would he with these Tangzu IEMs.
lol I will never buy IEMs having a logo of a non manufacturing company(headphone zone). It's a B2C company, why would anyone trust them when it comes to sound/build quality/mic etc features? It's like relying on swiggy/zomato on how a food should tastes !!!
I've only ever done some A-B testing between the KZ ZSN ProX and the Pro2 very briefly at a Headphone Connect event and found that I prefer the ProX compared to the Pro2. The Wan'er is a differently tuned set of IEMs. But I'd say the Wan'er is a little more enthusiastic sounding than the Pro2, from what I can remember of the Pro2. It might be worthwhile connecting with the guys at headphonezone to know for sure since they have immediate access to these products to check and let you know which would suit you based on your taste.
I'm not too sure that'll happen any time soon. It's very difficult to get demo/review units from these brands, especially since I'm not a big-time youtuber. But it's a comparison I'd really enjoy doing.
I plug into the PS4 remote. It's got a female 3.5mm port as you'd know. The hardware for audio in it isn't great, so don't expect a very rounded sound when plugging into the remote.
