Another reason not to buy a scooter is because you won't ride your 701 I started watching your channel for the 701 since that's what I ride and hopefully we'll see some more video's on it in the future. Thanks.

What a unicorn bike the 701/690/700 bikes are, especially when compared to my 501 on the road or large heavy ADV bikes off road.

Coming off the AT how do you find the 701 as an all rounder? Asking as someone with a big red africa twin who can't help but want something lighter without giving up too much in terms of power and road useability

getting off the AT and on to the 701 always felt like I was getting on a small dirt bike, until you twist the throttle. The 701 has a massive grin factor when it comes to power. I have done 600ks in a day on the 701, it's very capable at all day riding if you can cope with the 220klm fuel range. It doesn't have the carrying capacity of the AT so for long trips you'd need to travel light, but when the going gets tight and snotty the 701 is the preferred option.
