It wasn't a starter weapon he had in his inventory, that was the sword he picked up in the double dungeon from hunter Kim dropping it...when Jinwoo spoke about not knowing why it was in his inventory, it's because he had dropped the sword before nearly dying and he didn't remember putting anything into his inventory before he awakened in the hospital.

This chapter is the breakthrough of Jinwoo's personality, it is in this moment that he overcomes his fear and trauma, at the beginning of the episode he was very fearful of the lone wolf until he got the sword, then he got mobbed and needed another mental boost, and the last one was with the king kasaka when he trusted in his strength and desire than the weapon. Since the beginning of the chapter HE was stronger than the mobs, but his mind/spirit wasn't "unlocked" yet. That's why his demeanor was completely different when he sniped the golem, that's the beginning of the unlocked Jinwoo.

The sword that he got was from Kim. Kim was the C-Rank guy in the first two episodes that lost his arm against the statues and helped Joohee leave during the final rule of the dungeon they were in. He gave Sung his sword and the sword most likely ended up in his inventory after he gained the system. So the system claimed a C-rank sword since it was acknowledged between Sung and Kim that it was a "gift" in a sense.

For some reason... like his clothes weren't, though they could go in as an item. At least I recall that being where it comes from.

It wasn't really explained in the anime, but the sword in his inventory was the one that the guy in the temple in the first episode had. Jinwoo was holding it before his arm got chopped off, so it was still "equipped" when he resurrected.

Yeah in MMORPG, tanks take most of the damage and is responsible in gathering the mobs so the other party members won't get killed and can do their roles, DPS (physical or magical type damage dealers) and healers. But in some cases if the tank is really high level, he can tank and deal damage at the same time.
